Aiiiiii! How perverse is it that when the fic's finished (hahahahahaha!!!!) a suitable title won't come to mind? Sometimes I hate my brain.

OH MY FRIGGIN' GOD, why, no matter how short something is, is there a little piece that just will not work? Something that *always* needs to be twiddled endlessly because it isn't quite right? Is it subconscious? Do I do it on purpose and just not know it? ::sporks self repeatedly in the brain::

I'm DVRing La Timberlake; the husband, ever-helpful, made sure that I knew it was coming on. What a sweetie! After I told him that my friends pages had been full of squeeing for the last three days, he laughed and said, "I should have known."

The weekend flew by just a little too quickly; sadly, I didn't do much. I surfed, watched a movie or two and got caught up on some much needed sleep. Yay! I've created pages for fic that's previously only been posted here in LJ (21 bits and pieces, comment fic, five things things and ficlets). 21! I'm just a bit amazed. Doing some site clean-up, adding graphics to stories that previously had none, that kind of thing. Hope to have it all updated and shiny sometime in the coming week.

I'm writing what was supposed to be a little Doctor Who ficlet - you know how you get those ideas in your head and they won't let you go? Plus, it's short, so I figured I'd be able to squeeze it out fairly quickly. I'm gearing up to tackle some JC/Justin stuff, and my brain's definitely a bit rusty. It's been a long time since I actually wrote with more in mind than just...writing. There's nothing wrong with writing for its own sake of course, but more effort goes into it when I know I won't be the only one reading it! So yes, the Tenth Doctor and Martha, because she is made of squee and kick-ass and I lurve her. Ten's not bad either. :-D

Off I go to write! ::back to the sooper-sekrit fox lair::

It's definitely time to clean the computer room. I have one of those CD holder book things, with about 13 CDs worth of downloaded fonts (TONS of fonts, y'all), and I can't find the thing. Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! I want my friggin' fonts! Honestly, I need a keeper or a wrangler, or something. Dammit.

Whee! The computer room can remain a pigsty! Found my fonts in the bedroom! Yay! ::is pleased::

I wrote this aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago, and it's been languishing on my harddrive, just waiting for a few tweaks to make it postable. Whee! Stargate SG-1! It's all about Daniel and Mitchell in my fantasy world, because Mitchell was the ultimate fanboi, and his mancrush on Daniel was oh so sweet, and oh so laughably obvious.

Close Enough, Daniel/Cameron (Stargate SG-1)

I love this song, but it's not so much lyrics plural, for this one that I love, but one line. The title line, actually.

If God made you, he's in love with me.

I absolutely adore that line, and no matter what mood I'm in when I hear it, it never fails to make me smile. It's sweet and wonderful, so much so that even though the rest of the words are kind of 'eh' (for me, your mileage may vary), that one line redeems the rest. Yes, I love it that much. :-)

If God wrote that line, he's in love with me. (heeheehee)

Do I know the popgurls? And if I don't, why do I think that I might?

My job is killing my braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain!

Oy! I feel like I've crammed an entire year's worth of work into a couple of days. Aiiiiiiiii! Much with the working! But things calmed down after lunch and it turned out that it was mostly a figment of my "gotta get it done OH MY GOD!" imagination, except not so much because yeah, gotta get it done. Three day weekend, y'all, and I need it like nobody's business. ::boogies::

Found while poking and peering through a forgotten pile of floppies. I've always loved and been amused by Justin's big ol' manpaws, and this wee snippet of a ficlet tells why JC loves them too.

Wrap, JC/Justin

So, while waiting for The 4400 (Go Kyle/Isabelle!) I thought I'd update.

YOWZA! I got a little too up close and personal with a tornado yesterday. I had a few hours to make up so I went to work yesterday afternoon. I was about halfway through my planned time when an alarm sounded. YIKES! The tornado alarm!

A tornado has been spotted in Franklin County. Seek shelter, stay away from all windows. Do not leave the building.

Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! Yeeks! I'm in a window office on the top floor! I grabbed my stuff and high-tailed it down to the ground floor of the building.

Man, nothing freaks me out like the threat of a tornado. At least with fire I'm assuming you could make a mad dash for safety. Where the hell are you going to go with a tornado bearing down on your ass!?

Spent the next 45 minutes or so occasionally yukking it up with two other trapped employees. Watched the sky get dark. Watched, quite freaked out, when wind, rain and debris flying at about 400 miles an hour began to pummel the windows and outside doors.

My building has a ton of glass, yo.

The husband and I exchanged a few quick phone calls to make sure we were each okay. Once the storm passed, I went back upstairs and finished out my day with clear blue skies outside my window. Ohio has mad freaky weather sometimes. ::whimper::

Oh yeah, I found out later that the twister had touched down about a mile from my building. ::cries::

My computer hates me. I have wireless mouse and keyboard, and my keyboard gave up the ghost this afternoon. *Highly* frustrating, especially when I uninstalled the driver, hoping it would automatically reinstall after a reboot (the support pages lied!) and found that neither the mouse NOR the keyboard would respond.

Yay for me! I plugged in a regular keyboard and mouse and hoped for the best. Obviously it worked. ::buffs nails:: My rig is completely voodoo now, with a six year old Compaq keyboard, a mouse I bought at Odd Lots, a KDS USA flat panel screen (no idea) and a custom-built tower that the husband bought for me a couple of Christmases ago. And this is me, smiling because it all works. :-D

I must seriously be on crack. I'm trying to consolidate about five different edits of a Ron/Bill story into a workable, honestly and truly FOR REAL final edit. Laughably, one of the files is labeled "final edit" but obviously, I was judgement impaired at the time. ::whimpers::

Luckily it's not very long, so I'm dumping all of the versions into one file and I'll sort it out there. I'm doing it in clumps - sorting common paragraphs together and then I'll be able to figure out what I need to do. Part of the problem is that I can't seem to settle on what tense works best, so the thing's been written in at least three tenses so far, I think.

This is certainly as good a way as any to kick-start my ass back into writing. Go me, with the self ass-kicking and stuff!

I need an icon of my muse. I think she's probably...like one of those annoying, hideously overly-caffeinated anime girls, or maybe a scary dinosaur with a whip. In a tutu. Now that would be an interesting meme. What's your muse look like? Bonus points for representative pictures or icons.

::cries, dodges the lash::

The Chasez

It's pretty obvious that I've been under a rock, 'cause I missed all this! JC's doing his annual het photo parade, but it's accompanied by a flurry of public "is he or isn't he?" speculation. Lance coming out of the closet no doubt sharpened the focus on my boy.

Just doing my usual anal-retentive compiling, so please feel free to ignore if sparkly dance bois aren't your thing.

JC (gay?) in blogs )

Also? While all of these pictures pretty much kilt me ded, this one turned my uterus inside out and made it squeal. If JC and Jonathan Rhys Myers could have babies, that would be the result.

Every time I think I've escaped his sweetly evil clutches, the Chasez just cackles and reels me back in.

I'm declaring my own personal Fic Amnesty Day...mostly because [livejournal.com profile] joeysdramaqueen thought I meant one thing when I'd said something else. Eeep! Didn't mean to tease! To atone, I gave her a choice of fandoms and said I'd see what I could find in my Bigass Vault of Unposted/Unfinished Fic. She very sweetly requested something from either the Harry Potter or sparkly!dance!bois realms. Yay! I can do that!

I picked two HP ficlets and one popslash, all things that aren't too embarrassing to publish in their unpolished states. So! Here's the first of the three, an HP ficlet that was supposed to be much longer. It works as a standalone vignette though, so here it is. Post book six; happily, it wasn't too terribly crushed and mangled by book seven canon.

I took a little stroll through LJ yesterday, getting reaquainted, seeing what was going on, and saw that LJ might soon be a Slave to the Man. I popped over to journalfen, secured an account, and spent all day today moving my LJ-linked fic over there. That's where all my journal-posted stuff will go now, with a cut here. Fandom discussion will still take place here - unless LJ completely explodes and there's a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge mass exodus, I'll be right here with everyone else. So!

Anything in LJ that's tagged 'fic' will have a cut that leads to my journalfen account. Whee! Friend me, baby!

Gakked from bartinigirl03:

SUPPOSEDLY if you've seen over 85 of these movies, you have no life. Mark the ones you've seen. There are 240 movies on this list.

Copy this list, go to your bulletin board, paste this as a note. Then, put x's next to the movies you've seen, add them up, change the header adding your number, and click post at the bottom.
