illuminations.nu... yes, AGAIN.

Jan. 11th, 2010 06:51 pm1) Took a look a the domain (illuminations.nu) today and it's set to expire in July 2010. Good news! I don't have to do anything there to get the site up and running again.
2) Called the hosting site (whatever you call it) and even better news: even though everything was booted off the main server, two backup copies of the files were made. Eeeeeee! The files have now been "packaged" as the rep called it, in case they do another purge while I'm trying to get this taken care of -- and believe me, with the luck I've been having lately, that's exactly what would happen.
When I told the guy I had a new email account (cuz I do), he asked for it and then said that I'd have to provide proof of ID. No problem. EXCEPT...and you can probably guess where this is going...Catherine is still listed as the owner.
Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!! I'm torn between just filling it out anyway to see what happens, OR, seeing if I can talk them into accepting the payment without changing the ownership.
So if anyone out there knows Catherine and can get in touch with her, please ask her to get in touch with me. I sent email to her catherine4654 address as soon as I saw the form with her name on it, but so far I've had no response. I know that she travels extensively for business sometimes, so if there's another, better email address out there and you know it, please let her know I'm looking for her. :-) Thanks!

Dec. 27th, 2005 01:04 pmWaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I wanna do stuff but I'm feeling like a right total slug. Well, I've been feeling like a slug since my vacation began last week, but. Feeling even more slug-like now that the requisite running around has been accomplished. Unnnnnnnnnnnh.
My God, my site is a mess. I didn't realize that I'd LJ-posted three pieces of fic without either uploading them or linking them back to my site. Weh? The links to past/other fandoms leads to my old Tripod Site O' Doom, and that simply won't do. I want to load all that stuff to Giddy, but waaaaah! again with the crying because that means that links will need to be updated! ::pulls hair out:: Once that's done, though, I'm deleting everything on Tripod. This fills me with glee. Glee, I tell you.
Unnnnh. I like the thought of being organized, but the getting to the being is what kicks my ass. Baby steps. ::cries::

As soon as I hear what's entailed in being a host, I'll be able to make an informed decision. I've been thinking about buying space, off and on, for a year or so, so yes! We'll see what happens.
