Supernatural is made of cheesy win! \o/
Jan. 10th, 2008 10:43 pmYes, I must admit that I enjoyed the episode. Self-contained enough that I wasn't scratching my head wondering what was going on, but enough backstory tossed in to make me curious about what's come before.
Probably wouldn't slash the Winchesters, but I see the appeal. Attractive but not overly-pretty men locked in brotherly angst! Road trips! Shared rooms! Guns! Dood, I totally see the appeal.
Also, I've always loved the 'devil at the crossroads' mythos, so that was a treat; I'm totally convinced that Justin Timberlake found a crossroads of his own in some Tennessee backwoods. ;-)
Soopernatchul! I think I've finally gotten a piece of CW crack to call my own. Oh, the shame of it all.

Where I met a blue-eyed boy, made me say please
Forgive me, Robert Johnson.

After I wrote that, I was positively *aching* to hear "Hard Time Killing Floor Blues" from O Brother, Where Art Thou?, but I haven't loaded it to my iPod, dammit! It's sung by the guy they meet at the crossroads (who made a deal with the devil for his talent). What I didn't know is that the actor/singer is a real blues dude. Whee! (Chris Thomas King). Sorry if this is stuff you already know. :-)
Anyway! I *love* that idea. I agree, I need fic now/yesterday. Oddly enough, I may have to write this.

Date: 2008-01-11 05:23 am (UTC)Who knows, Justin may decide he's an old Black man and do a blues album. He's got so much pull, everyone wanting to work with him, he may just do it, get BB King to do a duet with him too.
Oh, yeah, you should do that fic. It'll be fabulous!

LOL! You know, I could almost see him doing that. Actually, I think it would be interesting. And I'd love to see the Mississippi boy add his gorgeous bass to the mix...

Date: 2008-01-11 05:41 am (UTC)And afterwards Justin would be all sweaty and worked up and have to throw JC down on the dusty bed at the top of the abandoned house down the way from the old well. And the ladies down the road rocking in their chairs would be fanning themselves with RFK and JFK fans and going on like "Oh, those 2 boys are at it again!"
Or something. Mmm. Hm, maybe Justin *should* do this blues album!
