I write shmoop, apparently.

I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this. I mean, I am until it's mentioned, and then I get all weird about it again. Because it's not taken seriously, is it? Shmoop, I mean.

Fanfic taken seriously...ha! Yeah, but you know what I mean. Not really respected, is it?

dude, your fic kicks ass! and there's nothing wrong with schmoopy-type stuff. that's the stuff that i go back to and read again and again. you know? and i guess my definition of schmoop would be romantic. like, some authors are so concerned with being gritty that their fic is re-readable. you know what i mean? but like, you capture these sweet moments between people. that's what i consider good stuff, man.

I think that shmoop can get a lot of respect, as long as it's written well. Schulyer pretty much only writes schoomp and at times Rhys dips into it... and Jae.. and Syntronick. Etc, etc.

Any and all lack of respect that I recieve probably has nothing to do with my occasional schoomp, and also nothing to do with that fact that I do rarely write it. Just work on doing what you do. If you write it, and write it carefully, they will come. *g*
