JC and Justin stuff on the radio!

Heard LILY this morning...
[Break in typing to report this: I'm watching Friends right now, and Chandler just gave Joey...something, and said, "Here. No strings attached." Hahaha!]
...on the urban station that bills itself as "hip-hop and R&B." Man, the things you hear when you don't have a tape recorder nearby! Here's what I remember, paraphrased.

LILY ends.
DJ01: "Like I Love You," by Justin Timberlake. What did he sing last night?
DJ02 and FemDJ: "Cry Me a River."
DJ01: So, do you think he dedicated that one to Britney?
DJ02: *Straight* to Britney. (laughter)
DJ01: You know it was released last week who she cheated with.
DJ02 and FemDJ: Who?
DJ01: Ben Affleck.
Disbelief. Discussion follows concerning the fact that Ben told him, because of the lyrics of the song, "I heard it from him." Further discussion of how Justin heard people talking about it and called Ben, how it might have gone down:
JT: "Hey, Ben, it's Justin Timberlake..."
BA: "Yeah, I did her."
DJ02: And Justin cried. (Sings "Cry me a river," badly)
Speculation on whether Justin could take Ben Affleck. One of them sings "Cry me a river," again.
FemDJ: You believe that? Tabloids.
DJ01 and DJ02 express faith in tabloids. FemDJ laughs, calls them gullible.
DJ02: So Ben was fooling around with Britney and then moved on to JLo? Man, props to Ben. (laughs) Ben's got it going down in LA!
DJ01: (laughs)
DJ02: And that girl in the video is *just like* Britney.
FemDJ: You think that was intentional?
DJ01 and DJ02 can't believe she's ignoring the obvious.
FemDJ: You believe that? Tabloids! It's a song!
DJ01: And where do songs come from?
Discussion follows about songs coming from life experiences. One of them brings up the song JLo wrote about P. Diddy (didn't catch the name). One of them sings a snippet of the song.
DJ01: (Names the song.) Who's that about?
FemDJ: (Gives in.) P. Diddy.
DJ02: (Sings JLo song again.)
DJ01: They mentioned it on MTV, too. (Brit and Affleck)
FemDJ: (Starting to believe.) Yeah?

Must not have been anything interesting after that, because my brain switched off. They went into their morning contest from there. I was surprised that not only did they talk about Justin for about 10 minutes, but they knew the lyrics and were familiar with the video! Also, none of this was done mockingly. Even when they sang snippets of the song, or when they said that Justin cried...it didn't sound mean. And it wasn't played for comedy, either. It just sounded like a bunch of people sitting around, talking. Woohoo!
So that was my morning. Here's my evening...
Heard a Drumline promo on the radio on my way home, on the same station as above!
"Blowin' Me Up" played throughout the promo, which is interesting, considering how they usually tailor promos to the individual market. Wonder if this means that BMU's going to get airplay on the station? Hmmm.
Major love to JC. Love him. Love him, love him, love him.
