Trying to decide what to have for breakfast. Oatmeal with raisins or Toaster Struedel? Hmmmmm.

In other news, I have about 48 million hours of Olympics coverage DVR'd, and I'm slowly making my way through. Shaun White remains my winter Olympics boyfriend. He is seriously the sweetest thing out there! Loved the way he said that he was trying to keep the tears at bay, but he hadn't seen his parents yet and would probably lose it when he saw them (paraphrasing like a madwoman). What a doll! He's not ashamed of his manly tears! Love that kid.

In other other news, watching the Olympics and listening to my new CDs prove to be incompatible activities. ;-p And why am I thinking that Ten Sheckel Shirt was mentioned by someone on my friends list? It was only a dollar and seemed maddeningly familiar, that's why I bought it. Sometime today I'll pop it in and see what my dollar got me.

In even more other news (I know, can you believe it!?), I'm working on my faux TV show, being probably a bit more invested in casting, etc. than I should for a faux TV show. But that's the lovely thing about fandom in its many forms, isn't it, that lovely fizz and pop that sets off in your brain when you're feeling uber creative? Mmmmmmmm, poppy fizzy brain...

*giggles* [livejournal.com profile] lost_spook has been having an absolute ball with her two faux TV shows (she's even written an episode guide for one of them). I'm trying to convince her to approach the BBC with me for the one for which I gave her the prompt - 'cos we SO need a costume drama about spies in Regency-era Europe!

I'm going whole hog with mine too, opening and closing music ideas, an episode guide (once the cast has shaped up to my satisfaction), graphics, etc. This meme is also a *fabulous* way to inspire someone who wants to write original fic but can't seem to get a grasp on it. Voila! Instant grasp. :-D

LOL! I agree, I'd love to see something like that! I've bookmarked the comm, the delicious page for the three sentence fic thingie, and several of the shows that I'd like to write ficlets for. It's amazing how involved it's all gotten. Several ideas easily outstrip anything currently on TV!

*giggles* I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I'm kind of disappointed my plot bunnies didn't want to go further with mine - but then I'm trying to write so much at the moment, so I can't really complain!

I know! I've looked at some of the responses and been awed!

Speaking of Regency-era fic...are you familiar with Love and Prejudice? It's an interracial continuation of Pride and Prejudice. Judging from the Tattycoram icons used for the post, the author's 'cast' Freema Agyeman in the title role. ::squee!:: I've seen and loved several versions of P&P over the years, so adding Freema to the mix was like catnip to me. ;-)

I found it following a link from the faux TV show comm last night. :-D I just started reading it this morning, and so far so good! She's rewriting bis of it with an eye to publish, I believe.
