I NEED NEW MUSIC!

Rec me a band or bands, someone you love. What's the one album of theirs that I *must* have?

Give me 1-5 albums (any genre) that *everyone* should have in their collection.

I'm a big 50s/60s gal myself, so if you don't already own it, the soundtrack to American Graffiti is pretty great. Or any Greatest Hits-like album of The Drifters.

You probably already have this from what I can see of previous comments, but the first Jill Scott album is incredible. When I whip it out, it's all I listen to for about a month straight.

She *always* pops up when I have my iPod on shuffle, so I know that my iPod is highly enamored of her. ;-) I've never listened to the album all the way through believe it or not, so I'm not that familiar with it. But I *love* when she pops up on shuffle because I always stop to listen, and I'm like, "Sing it, Jill!" I think she's joining Queen Latifah on my short girl!crush list. :-D

All of the others are going on my list because I own none of them. ::hangs head:: Well, I do have two Radiohead songs I pulled off a compilation disk...
