Too bad this didn't turn up a few weeks ago when the Olympics were in full swing because dude, that would have set the mood perfectly.

If you like skating, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz, you're in for a treat. According to this article, Justin and Cam may be gliding their way to a theater near you.


Cameron and J-T put their skates on

Hollywood couple Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake are reportedly planning to appear together in a romantic comedy about a pair of love-struck ice-skaters.

According to sources close to the stars, Diaz will play the role of a figure-skater and Timberlake a speed-skater, although one wonders how they would master such techniques in order to make the film believable.

"The whole thing is set at the Olympic Games in the Olympic Village," said a source.

"Cameron and Justin have been working on a number of ideas together and this is one they are seriously considering taking it on themselves."


Cameron should be the speed skater, and Justin should *totally* be a snowboarder. TOTALLY. How much would *that* rock? Shaun White would have a cameo, of course, and we all know how cool hat would be. Actually, Camm'd make a good skier, too, or one off those luge chicks!

Ice skating movies are played out. Ice Castles, and, uh, all the others... Speed skating would be good, but figure skating, not so much.

Gotta say, I really don't see how this could be a good movie. But if I'm wrong I'll gladly admit it. :-D

Cam really belongs in roller derby. But seriously, this is the kind of movie neither one would touch - Justin because it's exactly the sort of 'vehicle' he doesn't want to do and Cam because she wants people to take her seriously as an actress.

I agree. It wouldn't kill her career, but it certainly wouldn't do anything to up her credibility as a serious actress. Not just an ice skating movie, but an ice skating movie with her boyfriend? No, not good.

It could be really awful, really awful but funny, or not nearly as bad as it sounds & funny. :)

Model Behavior, baby! Aw, I didn't think he did such a bad job in that movie. Cheesy movie, but he was cute in it. Besides...manpaws! He was tall and gawky and hadn't grown into his hands yet. MANPAWS! I love his big ol' shovel hands.

Yes, exactly! Justin was absolutely adorable in the movie! And sometimes I'm in the mood for a good cheesy flick, and I've been known to watch it. :) If this actually turns into a movie, it sounds like it'll be rating high on the cheese-meter. :)
