Stories I Never Wrote!
Mar. 1st, 2006 08:44 pmYeah, I'm jumping on a bandwagon that rolled by a couple of weeks ago. Sue me.
Yes! This looked interesting when I first saw it, and kept meaning to throw it in my journal.
Give me the title of a story I never wrote. Include a pairing if you wish, and whether you want angst (hahahaha! me, angst), fluff, whatever. I'll give you a blurbized summary of the story.
I know I mangled the hell out of it, but that's basically what I can remember. Fandoms include popslash!, Hercules, Harry Potter, SG-1, and SGA. I'm in the mood to work my brain a little.
Edited to add:
Simple Comforts
(SG:A Ronon gen or Ronon/Sheppard. Friendship development and acts of kindness), requested by stungunbilly
Helicopter Stop Ruining My Life
(pop!slash, TrickC), requested by musiclover03
Three Generations of Imbeciles is Enough
(pop!slash, JuC), requested by katidid83
My Best Friend Is A Rollercoaster
(pop!slash, JuC), requested by rikes
Malfoy's Reach, a Tale of High Adventure on the Bounding Main
(HP Harry/Draco), requested by stungunbilly
Bicycle Keys
(popslash, JuC), requested by 1107red

He's on the road, rolling somewhere through the midwest when it dawns on him that it's quite possibly a stretch of highway he's traveled before with noisier, rowdier company. He presses his face to the glass.
There's an amusement park out there in the darkness - the Ferris wheel is a sparkling sequined disk against the summer night sky. He sees other rides, less dramatic than the glittering wheel, but equally jewel-toned. The pinpoints of color whirl and dance and Justin tries to guess what each might be. There's no mistaking the rollercoaster, though, and he watches the string of brightly-lit cars climb a steep hill toward oblivion.
JC is a rollercoaster, Justin thinks. He can be the sweetest guy in the world with one breath, and a demanding diva bitch the next, but it's a fun ride, one Justin wouldn't trade for all the Grammies and blockbuster movies in the world.
They're passing the park now, and Justin squints and tracks the festive, sparkling lights as they slide away into memory. He tries to imagine what life would have been like without JC. It's an impossible task because JC's entangled in nearly everything Justin's done for the last fourteen years, entwined in every memory. His body is imprinted on Justin's; when he breathes, he feels JC's skin pressing back against his own. When he smiles, he senses JC's lips against his mouth. He's part of everything, and that's the way Justin likes it. The way it should be.
"You'll see him soon," Cameron says, and treats him to one of her wide smiles. "Just another hour or so, I think." Having her own secrets makes her much better at this game than Britney ever was. She drops on the seat across from him and opens a magazine. "You okay, J?"
He looks away from the window and climbs out of his thoughts to answer her question.
"I'm okay," he says and yawns a bit and stretches. He pops his joints until they crack and it makes Cameron wince. She always winces. He smiles. "I'm fine," he says, and settles back into the seat.
Somewhere in the darkness behind him, the rollercoaster rattles on.
