The power of 1, 1 1/2 and 11.

So, while looking at CFTC pics to fuel bunnies and ideas and stuff for the experimental fic, it suddenly hit me.

I've seen people speculating about the meaning of JC wearing 11 instead of the usual 22 on his jersey this year. There were theories kicked around that it was a complicated code that linked it to Justin's number 1 1/2, and proved they were together.

I've seen theories about Nelly's number 1, and it being linked to Justin's number - again, proving that they're together.

So...it somehow follows that all three numbers must have some significance when taken as a group, yes? Especially considering how enamored Mr. Nelly seems to be of Mr. Chasez these days. Am I right? Say Amen, somebody...

Yes! That's my theory after perusing the CFTC pics of JC and Nelly standing on the court together. They were so adorable! JC's looking pretty and clueless, and Nelly's like, giving him pointers on dunks and lay ups and stuff.

I had this whole thing worked out in my head that goes like this: Justin wants Nelly. Nelly wants JC. JC has no clue.

In the Teen Choice pics, Nelly seems to be standing closer to JC than to Justin. This leads me to believe that JC's working his own special brand of magic, and has ensnared Nelly - and doesn't even know it. Justin's realized all this of course, and is keeping a stiff upper lip about the whole thing.

And thus, a rather bizarre fic was born.

Oh! Well, now this is just me, but...I've always thought it would be the most adorably cute thing if Nelly was using Justin to get to JC, because, well, it's JC, who could blame him? I mean, after all, Nelly IS only human. ;-) [snicker]

And I've always, for like, the looong-est time had this fic idea on ‘simmer’ in my brain where Justin & Nelly, sort of, get into it over JC: Justin and JC are TOTALLY platonic friends, Nelly enters the picture, has an interest in JC...Justin gets jealous, blah-ba-di-blah, yeah. [adjusts dunce cap]
