Squeeness! Went in today to make up my three hours and now I'm free, free, free! Well, for the next two weeks and two days, anyway. WHEE!!!

Went on a movie-buying spree at Blockbuster to celebrate being free of The Man for a fortnight. Join me behind the cut, if you've a mind.

Beauty Shop: Queen Latifah, Alicia Silverstone, Alfre Woodard - and Kevin Bacon! Now *this* would be a good secret weapon for 'Six Degrees of Bacon.' Haven't watched it yet. Love Queen Latifah - she's gorgeous! I usually enjoy her performances.

Burnt Money (Plata Quemada): Eduardo Noriega, Leonardo Sbaraglia. Based on a true story. About a crime spree involving two hot gay lovers and bills itself as "Intensely erotic." Yeah, the het elements of the film are erotic all right, not so much with the boy touching. Watched it this afternoon and grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! God forbid we see the guys touch - lots ot cutaways after long, meaningful looks, but hot damn, the boy/girl action features naked peepees, boobs and plenty of bare asses thrusting between spread (female) legs. What a cheat. Beware!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: Johnny Depp! Tim Burton has a 50/50 record with me, so I'm a little afraid of this remake of a movie I adore. Because of a rather bizarro makeup job for the Depp, I won't even get eye candy out of this, so I'm not quite sure what to expect. Keeping a somewhat open mind, though. ;-)

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. Bwahahah! John Cho is the cutest thing evah. What a doll! I was verra excited to see that Christoper Meloni is in this, but that excitement was short lived. Thanks to pretty disgusting disfiguring makeup, my usual Meloni lust-quotient was pretty low. Like, -112. Still, he's funny.

Hellboy: Not yet viewed. It's got to be better than Chronicles of Riddick, right? I'm a sucker for fantasy/sci fi-type pics and cool computer effects and graphics so once again, I'm approaching this one with an open mind. I managed to survive the above-mentioned Riddick, so we'll see.

House of Flying Daggers: Squee! Haven't seen this one yet, but I know it's gotten rave reviews. The previews are gorgeous so I'm looking forward to it.

Kung Fu Hustle: The previews look hilarious. Looking forward to it.

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events: Liam Aiken, Jim Carrey (unfortunately). Managed to ignore Jim Carrey through most of this, thank goodness. He's got a 40/60 success rate with me, and I can take him in teeny, teeny doses. About the only thing I've actually enjoyed him in - without cringing at some point - is Dumb and Dumber. Go figure.

The Matrix: Keanu Reeves. "I know kung fu." 'Nuff said. Love this movie! They should have stopped here.

The Order: Heath Ledger!!! I already own this on tape and I've been wanting to upgrade. Whee!

Sin City: Bruce Willis, Benecio del Toro, Jessica Alba. Interesting reviews. Not sure what to expect...

Supernova: Angela Basset, James Spader. Squee! Two of my favorites, and I've adored Spader for yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeears. He's looking pretty spiffy in this too, with a short dark brown 'do. How can anyone not love James Spader?

On a less wheeful note, discovered that as of sometime in the last two days, Yahoo! has been blocked at ye olde workplace. Can you believe it? I am shocked, dismayed and indignant. Bastiges.

JC!
