Nuclear powered jet engine!!!

So, the new computer has been set up and Earthlink software has been successfully uploaded. I am now, pretty obviously I suppose, cruising via the new machine. It's fab and all - wireless keyboard and wireless mouse - but HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD, the drive sounds like a jet engine. WTF!? Hubsmonkey gave me the computer guy's business card, so I'll call him tomorrow to see what the hell is going on. Honestly, there isn't a single appliance in the house, including the vacuum cleaner, that can top the decibel levels of this thing. Also, the Enter/Return key is tiny, tiny, tiny, only a fraction of what I'm used to, no idea why. Otherwise, the touch on the keyboard is fantastic, and I pretty much love it so far. If we can get the noise level down, I'll be a happy girl. Also, the LCD flat panel monitor is teh love. ::squee::

Because I stayed up far too long getting this baby set up, I'm going to go to bed now. Past midnight! I wanted to hit my desk tomorrow morning at six! Sadly, I don't think that's going to happen. Clothes all over the bed that I need to hang up...I cry for them, because they will not find themselves on hangers tonight, poor things.

Computer guys! Die!

In other news, the computer store guy sounded tres shocked when I told him my computer was louder than anything I'd ever heard in my life. He said they'd swap out one of the two fans once they determined which one it was. And I finally nailed what it reminds me of - it sounds just like a hair dryer. Yeah! There's a sound I want assailing my ears for a couple of hours while I surf.

And! What the hell, man? Hasn't the SciFi channel been touting new episodes for the big Friday lineup for *tonight*? Why then, are they re-airing the SG-1 half-season finale tonight? I want my new episode, dammit! Lying bastages.
