When it rains...
Feb. 28th, 2003 09:32 pmIf I weren't so busy I'd have a nervous breakdown.
Swear.
To.
God.
Nightly chat with Dad and he tells me (about two minutes ago) that he was in an accident today. !!!! A tractor-trailer turned left from the right turn lane (Dad was in the left lane, turning left), and the guy creased the passenger side door and trashed his bumper. The truck is now out of alignment (!!!) because, hello! Hit by a friggin' semi!!!
Could have been worse, of course. Much worse. The ass didn't even get out of his truck - just talked to Dad from the cab of the truck. Asshole. Didn't exchange information because the guy refused to get out of his friggin' truck!!! Several people were nice enough to stop and give their names as witnesses. Took the truck number and license number.
Waited for the cops for two friggin' hours. Never showed. So he sounds calm, saying "it's not that bad. Somebody lost their life today" which of course gets me all shaky and weepy. Not crying though, 'cause that would get him upset.
We'll probably talk for a few more minutes, then I'll go spazz. Hard to talk when you're sniffing and trying to sound like you're ok.
Why did I think the Week from Hell would end because it's Friday?
Jeebus.
