I think I just ushered someone out of the fandom, and I'm not sure what the hell happened.
Maybe she'd already been thinking about the things I mentioned when I let off a little steam; things that I might've gotten upset about for a maximum of two seconds, and then moved on. Things that I've thought about, mulled over, and made peace with. Things that convinced her that there's just too much falderol in fandom to be bothered with.
So now I feel like shit, because someone I like, and whose writing I like, is leaving the fandom, and it feels like my fault. This has also made me question the value of honesty, if this is the result.
If anyone has an Uzi and would like to point it my way, feel free.
