Friday! Life's worth living!
Apr. 5th, 2002 07:27 pmAhhhhhh, Friday.
Took three hours off today (I have such a nice boss! It was her suggestion!), and I'm taking off Monday, too. Did I forget to mention that hormones probably played a part in my little meltdown yesterday? I'd have been furious any other time of the month, especially given the sheer badness of the rest of the week, but I don't think I'd have gotten quite that angry. Anyway, it's all good now.
Took care of some stuff, got a little work done, and came home. Woohoo! And no going in on Monday. Woohoo!
I've got friggin' cramps, and I was tired from waking up at 1:30 a.m, so both of those things added to my willingness to be shooed home. I just took about 200mg of ibuprofen, and I've got a nice, warm heating pad against my back. Things are looking up. We're going to order from a chicken place when the hubs gets back, so life is looking good.
Foxmonkey's recommendation for cramps: one heating pad in the front, and one against your back. You'll die from the goodness!
Feel like crying even though I'm not sad, and that's hormonal, too, so I'm avoiding certain authors who usually make me cry - yes, Rhys, I'm looking at you!
LOL, that would be a good post, a list of all the authors who'd made me cry. I'll have to do that sometime. I started the fave friend's icons thing, but haven't finished. I'll probably post some starting tomorrow. I'm trying to edit the story-that-shall-not-be-named, and the cramps are a distraction. Waaah!
And I can't get into friggin' Yahoo...the bastards. ::grumbles::
And new friends!!!
Ah, I forgot to mention that Busta died. Poor Chris! I know how horrible it is to lose a pet, and I can't imagine how hard it must be to have to perform for thousands of people when he'd probably rather be curled up somewhere, crying. My heart goes out to you, sweetie. (((Chris)))
