Date: 2003-08-20 02:50 pm (UTC)I'm tellin' ya! I want to be a celebrity in my next life, or at least really close friends with a celebrity. Then she could pass over all the swag she didn't want. ;-)

Date: 2003-08-20 04:20 pm (UTC)Yes. Let's shield all the poor, put-upon celebrities from the frenzy of, you know -- a show honoring THEM, and give them a nice place to rest after they exert themselves dressing in borrowed designer clothes and jewelry, having their picture made, reading a teleprompter. Oh -- and the stress of remembering the name of their designer so they can tell Joan Rivers.
After all that, they deserve some free goodies and pampering and people kissing their asses. It's a grueling night of HELL, damn it! HELL!!
Bitter? Me? You're imagining things.

Date: 2003-08-20 04:31 pm (UTC)If I were a celebrity, I'd want to get *away* from stlists, the media and the party planners, not invite them in the refuge with me. How's that "escaping from the frenzy"? Weirdness.
