A Portrait of the Artist as Art.
Jul. 27th, 2003 07:52 pmThis is something I noticed some time ago, but seeing Liz's pics of peach-eatin' JC brought it all back to me.
A while ago, someone - I cannot for the life of me remember who - had pictures on her website matching up NSync with works of art. I remember Justin being linked with Donatello's version of David, and JC with paintings by Modigliani. I can't remember what she'd found for Chris, but all three were striking.
Ah, I just found it! It was Sinead, and the gallery is here. Chris' second picture at the bottom of the page, is especially interesting. She's also linked Lance with Michelangelo's David, and Joey with a sketch by John Singer Sargent. All beautiful stuff.
While surfing one day, I found a picture of JC and Joey during the Celebrity tour. The lines of JC's body looked very familiar. I thought the same thing today while looking at the peach pictures.
Yes, I'm a goof. But, behold: A Portrait of the Artist as Art.
