Journal reviews!?

Did anyone know that there's a community that exists to review journals? It's called "Journals worth reading - Livejournal reviews," and you can request an LJ review from the resident board (the members). There's no way I can explain this adequately, so here's the link; go crazy.

That's just weird. And it's not a peer review, like by someone you have interests or anything in common. Just some random person who seems to value their own personal aesthetics quite highly. Ironically enough, I don't like that journal.

Isn't it weird? I glanced at the comments from one review, and they're reassuring the girl that once she spiffs up her journal she's welcome to submit the new design for a new review. LJ's as performance art now, folks? Oy.

And yeah, for as much as they go on about site design and icons and such, yuck. Two icons for use, and one of them is a cheapie animated thing that a newbie would use. Please.
