This is just lovely. You managed to create a very sentimental situation without making it seem maudlin. It fixes the Doctor/Martha relationship in a way so many of us would kill to see. And I love the fact that you were so careful to make the reader see how both characters understand and accept the complexity of their relationship. If only the series would give the characters as much credit.
