BWAHAHAHA! I wasn't sure I wanted to see this episode, because I wasn't sure what to expect. Would they mock the fans soundly? Would the humor fall flat? Would it just be the most cringeworthy thing EVER?
I loved it!
Favorite part, no contest, was the Stargate: Team America Style section. I've seen Team America about a bazillion times, and this was absolutely perfect. If the entire episode had been puppet-fied, I'd probably *still* be laughing.
Invisible!Jack was funny, but went on a bit long. *Loved* the Farscape sendup, even though I never watched a single episode all the way through. Still, I'd seen enough to realize that Carter's grey-skinned girl head twitch was spot on.
Segueing from one scene to the next was a bit choppy in spots, but I can forgive them for that. Some portions didn't last long enough (Star Trek had me rolling), but overall, a much, much better episode than I expected.
*Loved* Stargate!O.C. Daniel's angsty whine about possibly having lost Mitchell's friendship ("I don't think Mitchell likes me anymore").
Daniel and Jack at the altar waiting for bride!Sam:
Daniel: If Sam takes much longer, people are gonna think...
Jack: Think what?
That was worth the price of admission.
Great episode. DVR'd for multiple viewings. Yay!
I was sad to see Allison go. Vincent, yet again, make it through by the skin of his teeth. He should have been long gone, in my opinion. All that talk about the design getting him off...OH MY GOD, that skeeved me like you wouldn't believe. He's gone beyond weird. He's friggin' *creepy.*
Kayne's lucky that the judges know he can do better, because maaaaaaan, that dress was *awful*, just awful. He's such a cutie, I just love him. I'm glad he's staying, but I'm sad it was at Allison's expense. :-(
As much as Tattooed!Pit!Bull!Neck gets on my nerves, his dress was really cute and I really thought he was going to win. A different color scheme would have tipped the scales more in his favor. That blue and yellow, my God, man. Awful. Loved the faux belt, and the top was just beautiful. If the skirt had been as muted as the top, I think he'd have won.
I like Michael and I'm pleased that he won back to back, but it really surprised me - I thought the judges were going with Jeffrey. I believe the thought process behind the design gave him the edge. The top was nice and adding the plastic as a wrap was interesting.
Laura's dress was adorable, as was Uli's! And now that I've put so much thought into writing this, I'll have to use it when I post about the show. :-)
