foxmonkeyI'd fully intended to write today, but somehow or other I ended up reading fic and surfing websites looking at bags. Weh?
I'm watching The Monkey King on the SciFi channel. I normally don't watch SciFi's original movie offerings (with a couple of exceptions), but the commercials looked interesting so I thought I'd give it a try.
It's great! It's pretty humorous. At times it has a big budget feel, then they'll sneak in some cheesy scenes. Overall it's the perfect blend of both. It's kinda like Xena meets Army of Darkness, with some Stargate thrown in for good measure. SciFi's definitely working their version of the old skool ABC Movie of the Week.
Also, JC's old buddy Bai Ling is in it. And it's four hours long! Okay, a talking pig guy. Movie crack.
