Holy JESUS, the winds are high tonight! Seriously, I haven't been this freaked out by high winds in a long, long time - and we live in tornado alley, so that's saying something. :-( Man, tornado season gets here a little earlier every year, it seems.

I can hear twigs and things from the neighbors' trees hitting the side of the house - the bedroom wall, naturally. Methinks I'll be camping out in the living room tonight. Gawd, I hate tornado season. :-( :-( :-(

::is skeered::

Eeeeeeeeeee, I hate this. All the little thumps and whaps and the trees whipping around and something just rolled across the deck. Waaaah!

::is even more skeered::

Wind: 20 mph/32 km/h from the SSW Wind Gust: 24 mph/39 km/h "Showers with a chance of thunderstorms. Windy with lows in the upper 40s. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph."

Shit, now I hear something rolling across the roof. Waaaah! I love my house! I don't want to end up flying/riding it to Kansas!!!

See, I'm in the bedroom near three windows, so I can hear this stuff. Monkey!hubs is in the front of the house with a John Wayne movie blasting, so he can't hear it. He's like, "Really? I can't hear it!" when I jumped off the bed and ran in to tell him that our lives might be in mortal danger of being snuffed out by a falling tree. He blinked a couple of times and laughed at something on the screen. Husbands! I think he's confident that the tree overhanging the back of the house has been properly trimmed and pruned and so won't fall and cave in the roof. Go Hubs!

ROFLMAO!!! Thank you so much for that laugh, I seriously need it. ::hugs::

The way it's blowing out there, I wouldn't be surprised to find my house precariously perched in a tree outside your building tomorrow morning. ;-)

The winds have blown themselves to Pittsburgh this morning. Very whistly and loud. I hate to drive in the wind. And I don't think our trees are as pruned as yours are. Ai.

No kidding - there were tornadoes last night, but a bit further south. Hmm, maybe blizzard season (just starting here) isn't so bad.

We had sustained winds in excess of 40mph last night, with gusts around 60 or so. I watched the lights flicker for about half an hour before the power went out about 10:30p...and stayed that way for three hours. (I woke up when it came back on, because I missed turning off a few lights, heh.) Apparently it then went off again at some point (after I set the clock and the alarm)... Matthew woke me up at 7a. Lots of tree branches and garbage cans littering my neighborhood this morning, and something like 10,000 people still without power.

Hope y'all made it through the night without relocating :)
