So I've been spending the last few evenings getting back in touch with my cow of a muse. Guess what? She's still a cow. ;-p Something that was supposed to be just kind of short has mutated a bit, though it's still not very long. Only a couple more sentences and it'll be completely framed. Then the editing and re-writing begins.

Something else I'm cloooooooooooose to finishing. Just needs a couple of tweaks, I think, then a bit of editing. Another ficcy thing is COMPLETELY refusing to obey, dammit. That's one I'd really like to co-operate but so far, it ain't happening. I have the most willful stories in the world. ::le sigh::

And OY with the leaving a sandwich unattended. The world's most spoiled feline lives at my house and he's mostly a very good boy (my baby!), at least until food is involved.

I microwaved a roast beef sandwich from yesterday, had a few bites, then put it on the computer table when hubs called me away for a minute or two. Realized too late that I'd left my dinner unattended and walked in to find my child looking kind of guilty. The roast beef didn't look any more mangled and the bun no more moist than before I left, so I figured I'd gotten there just in time. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! When cats and food are involved, there's no such thing as 'just in time.'

Bad Cat must have licked the bun and *just* started gnawing on the hanging out beef bits because within two bites my stomach started to rebel. I grabbed a Jones Cream Soda out of the fridge and did the breathing fast small sips thing. Took care of the major nausea, but man, an hour later and I'm still feeling it. I know I'd prbably feel better if I'd just let Mother Nature do her thing but man, I hate to vomit. I hate nausea too, and Pepto isn't helping. TMI, probably. Don't hate me! Pray for me instead. ::is queasy:: Hmmm, I'll insert a cut to be safe.

Cheap music! Went to one of my favorite little hippie stores today (I love that place) to see if I could find a copy of Gimme Fiction by Spoon. I heard "I Turn My Camera On" yesterday and fell in love. I may just have to buy it new if I can't find it used in the next 24 hours. Anyway, they didn't have it but I *did* buy a couple of compilation disks, One Little Indian presents... and New Music from Redeye Distribution. Biggest score: Sly and the Family Stone: Greatest Hits. Yes! Sly, man. You've got to love it.

LOL! She needs to be smacked around a little bit. She wears Doc Martens and isn't shy about letting me know who's running the show. ;-)

Waaaaah! Yep. I *love* cats so unless I'd go into shock and die with one in the room, I'll most likely always have at least one. I'm going to have to keep a very close eye on my little food-licker. I don't want a repeat of the last couple of hours. Bleh. ;-x

You have to be careful, though - too much violence and your cow may join forces with the Plot Bunny of Impossible Stories.

I'm jazzed to hear that you're writing again, Fox. Which fandom is it for?

All three flavors, popslash, Potterfic and *cough*SG-1*cough*.

I want to finish my lyric challenge fic from last year (I SUCK). I loved my beginning and knew what I wanted to say but I just couldn't get it to go anywhere. I want to know why writing some stories is like pulling teeth. Every so often I get one that just digs its heels in and fights every step of the way. ;-(

Whee! The cow of a muse on the move!

I'm so sorry about the kitty incident. I can't imagine being so allergic to something. I hope you feel better soon!

I've recovered from feline saliva-induced nausea! I suspect your prayers did the trick. ;-)

Your icons are hilarious. I love the one of the guy in the pink wig, the way he wiggles when he points his finger. "No!" This JC one is pretty mesmerizing too; then again, it *is* the Chasez we're talking about!
