It seems that Cameron Mitchell is supposed to be 34 years old, nine years younger than the actor who portrays him. Daniel Jackson, on the other hand, is supposed to be 40-41, 42? - five years *older* than the actor who portrays him. Daniel's not the baby of the team anymore! Mitchell says that he was around ten years old when the first shuttle was launched, which according to Google, was 1981.
This is a wacky episode. I'm not sure if it's because I'm surfing while watching, or if it truly is a weird episode. Very Mitchell-heavy, which I'm findng isn't that interesting. I think they tried to do too many things - false memories, some Mitchell backstory, a bit of Mitchell alien!girl lurve, a murder investigation, a bit of...God, whatever else they've thrown in here.
Waaah! More Sam! Wash that hair! Comb it! Well, I guess this week were paying for last week's Daniel/Mitchell buddyfest, because there's a lack of Dan/Cam love this week. Boo. :-( I've got Atlantis (shut up) and Battlestar set up to record, so I'll use them to scrub this mediocre SG-1 ep from my brain. WAAAAAH! More friggin' Carter! Have the writers *completely* forgotten how to write team episodes when she's around!? JEEBUS. Yeah, sorry for the Sam hate, but there you go.
Yay! Daniel and Teal'c are onscreen! Go Daniel, defend your buddy! Hmmm, I think the writing could have been tighter for this one. Ahahahah! I called it about two seconds before they showed it. A reflection! I knew it. Oooh, that was a bit of a surprise, with the technician guy at fault. I thought it was the head guy, John Glover, though that would have been obvious too. Show's over but I think I'm done here. ;-p
Anyone who read all of that ramble deserves a virtual cookie. ;-)
Edited to add: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! Holy frig, man, what a perfect, perfect show. I can't believe I haven't been sucked in before now. This series deserves multiple Oscars. Yes, I know. Don't mess with my fantasy. ::loves::
