Love 'em. Not just group sex threesomes, but stories where three people are in a loving, committed relationship, and all the ups, downs, and elation and angst created by such a triangle.

I've been writing a JuCFu for a while now, and went back in my journal the other day to see how long it's been. First mention of the story was nearly a year ago, and the fic had been in production probably weeks before that entry occurred. So, for a year now I've been writing this story! Well, I did write a few things in between, so.

I've always been intrigued by the dynamic three people bring to a relationship. In my old fandom, Hercules, my favorites to slash were Hercules (played by Kevin Sorbo), his mortal half-brother Iphicles (played by the gorgeous and recently late Kevin Smith), and his immortal half-brother, Ares, the god of War (also played by Kevin Smith).

So yeah, incestuous slash, at that. Woohoo!

I loved Herc with Ares. Loved Herc with Iphicles. But in the later stories I was writing, there was always that tug at the back of Herc's mind...I'm with this one, but I love that one, too. Not just lusted after that other person, but had deep feelings that he either wanted to, or was highly interested in exploring.

JuCFu is my threesome of choice in this fandom, and their real-life dynamic only heightens this for me. They share(d) a bus. JC and Chris were clearly Justin's two best friends of the remaining four, and were probably his "favorites" as well. In many, many pictures that I've seen, the three of them are grouped together - though the JoLa contingent probably prefer to see it as Joey and Lance sticking together. ;-)

During concerts, it's obvious that Chris enjoys the hell out of getting JC to smile, and he teases JC constantly in print interviews. The transcript of radio interviews that the two of them have done together without the other three, also point to a close relationship. But I still think of Justin as the link between the two of them, for some reason.

So, JuCFu. TimberKitten's my favorite pairing, and I love TrickyKitten, too. I don't like TimberTrick, though, but I love the three of them together, with a definite slant towards one of the two pairings above. The one I'm writing is CFu+Ju. A year. A year!

I gorged myself on Lucy's Letterboys series recently, and felt glowing and satisfied when I finished. The series begins on her page, and later stories have all been posted in her journal.

There was also the very lovely OneTwoThree, by Jae. Hot, bittersweet angst, yes!

I know this is late, but. Those are my exact preferences too. We need to stick together.
