Concert-going on one's own. Oy!

So. Person I was hooking up with for the concert, can't make it. I got out of work hours earlier than expected (woohoo! for a cool boss!), went to get hose and a light sweater for tonight, and then retrieved voicemail.

Now I'm sitting here wondering whether to go by myself - it's here in town, no driving or hotels involved, just me getting my ass on the freeway, sitting through traffic and then hoping there's a good ticket. I'd planned to head for the venue around 2:30-3:00. I'm giving myself plenty of time for traffic. Hit the ticket window, buy something fabulous (I hope) and then enjoy the show.

It's 1:40 now, so I've got a while to decide. I've seen people urging others to just go for it and go by themselves, but still, it's... I can't even think of a word. Jesus, I'm an adult woman, I should be able to handle something like this, shouldn't I? It's a concert! Go! Have fun! It might even be their last, and from all accounts, it's their best ever. I think I'm gonna go. Eep!

I've got about 15 minutes to decide. I'm thinking that I might just hop in the car and cruise down there, see what's going on. :-D I'm not even wearing anything sparkly. Oy. No fun t-shirt, nothing. Well something, but not fun. Yes, I'm beginning to whimper.
