It's a *fabulous* day today. Just gorgeous, bright and sunny and lovely. It's also about two degrees so no thank you on going outside. It's nearly June! I tell you, the ozone broke and our weather patterns are changing. Feel free to laugh, but pretty soon we'll be wearing sweaters and mittens on the fourth of July and barbecuing on the patio for Christmas. I'll just smile and say I knew it all along.

Not much else going on. It's been spectacularly dull around here and today's not much different. I'm cleaning the computer room! CLEANING! I hate cleaning, but I like it when things are cozy and neat. I want a housekeeper.

And now I'm off to be lame and not do anything except surf and try to figure out what I want to do (besides clean) the rest of the day.

If you're tired of the Lance "did he ordidn't he" speculation, you might want to skip the rest of this post.

I think he did, it makes me sad. Yes, I realize it's his nose he can do what he wants with it, yakkity shmakkity blah blah blah. I'm just a fan giving an opinion here, folks.

Somewhere in someone's comments, someone - [livejournal.com profile] kirsch? [livejournal.com profile] stubbleglitter? - said that the new nose makes him look like a cartoon dinosaur. And holy bejeebus, that's pretty accurate. More to the point, I think it makes him look like a McDonald's promotional toy version of a cartoon dinosaur.

He was such a quirky beauty before. Now he's Lancesaurus Rex, and it's just not right. I'm in mourning for the original Bass schnozz. :-(

And now I end on a happy note. JC!

I am with you on the "did he" side of the issue. It bothers me because there was just absolutely no need for it, and I can't imagine why someone who has had Lance's level of success would feel the need to alter himself so egregiously. I am of the opinion that the nose makes the face and that a strong nose confers character and attractiveness. And how someone who has spent a major chunk of his life with JC, Justin, and Joey could think his nose needed to be made smaller is beyond me.

Perhaps that's the problem. The hiatus has been so long that he forgot that three of his best friends (and himself) are gorgeous guys with big strong noses who are adored by millions.

And it worked so well with his face! It's really thrown me. You never know what's in someone else's head, but I can't believe he thinks he looks better now.

JC. *sigh* I love JC's nose. *thinks happy JC thoughts*

I love his nose too. He's got such a strong face, such strong bone structure, that anything smaller would look odd. He's a very handsome assemblage of pretty parts. You know? Those lips and eyes, the cheekbones - and that nose. I love him. :-)

He's just beautiful, and I'm still a little bristly over his exclusion from People's Beautiful issue. This past issue, especially. I'll accept deadline excuses for now, but, if he's not in next year's issue, I'm done with People magazine. For good. Or until they name him the Sexiest Man Alive. *crosses arms* Hmph.

Monkey girl, your icon makes me very nervous. I feel the need to say that if you leave our fandom without finishing your WIPs I will have no choice but to hunt you down, and it won't be pretty. Nope.

Hey, sweets! That reminds me, I need to email you. Heard about the horrific events earlier this week, and want to give you hugs. (((Kaelie)))

Our garage door (freestanding garage) was kicked in a year or so ago. They didn't steal anything but the fact that they did it while we were asleep just yards away...oy. We had the air conditioner running so we didn't hear a thing. Again, yikes.

It was really hard going to work that day after the cops left. I wanted to hug my little house and never let go! So yes, massive hugs to you.

Bwahaha! No, no need to hunt me down, unless it's to take me to a JC concert or something. ;-) I'm not going anywhere! I'm just making my shameful HP tendencies public.

Oh yeah, Lance definitely got work done. I dont understand what could have been going through his head that he thought his nose needed changing. It just does not look good.

I dont know what I'd do if JC did something like that. His nose is just one of the things I love about his face.

JC seems very comfortable in his skin, whatever other issues he might have. What's odd is that Lance came back from Russia built like a brick shithouse, and he'd finally grown into his looks. I think that's the shocker. I never *ever* would have pegged any of them as surgery candidates, especially Lance, who'd really blossomed in the last few years.

I don't understand it. And unlike some, I'm not tired of talking about it. :) He had grown into himself so beautifully, and now he doesn't even look like Lance anymore. The nose doesn't make him Lance, I'm not that shallow, but it's the implications that disturb me. Maybe it's true about a surfbaord hitting him in the face and he decided to have some work done whle they were fixing his face. Wrong decision, but better than doing it out of the blue. I wish it didn't bother me so much.

That's what disturbs me, too. He was absolutely breathtaking when they did the BeeGees tribute, just stunning. I think I actually gasped when he first appeared onscreen. He looked *wonderful.*

He's always seemed so laid back about everything, kind of cooly assessing what was going on around him, above it all. But now...it's just bewildering.

It doesn't fit in with what I think he's like at all. He can't possibly think it's an improvment. It's such a generic nose, not suited to his face at all. His beautiful face.

Okay, you can throw rotten veggies at me but I actually like Lance's new nose very much. I'm not a fan of big noses. I admit that I've been sitting here, staring at the JC poster in front of me and speculated about a nose job for him. Just a tad narrower and a little bit shorter. ::ducks flying veggies::

Weh??? Sacrilege!!! I hope JC never gets a nose job. Ever.

I don't necessarily go looking for a large nose, but when it's attached to a face I'm fond of, so be it. :-) JC's nose fits his face - he's got strong bone structure, and his nose balances that nicely. It's big, yes, but it's lovely. :-)

To be completely fair, I saw a picture of Lance the other day where the new nose didn't look too bad. Oh! It was the Jessie's Girl fashion show, or something. No idea whose journal it was in or I'd find the link for you. The swelling's gone down a bit and he does look kind of cute. Still...it's a generic nose, and not as unique as his old one. Even though he doesn't look bad, he still looks a bit off. Ah well. But I'm very glad to see that it wasn't quite as horrible as I thought it would be.
