Okay, the lyrics are...interesting, but come on. THIS TUNE KICKS ASS. Whether or not it's radio-friendly and will grab the ear of the masses has yet to be seen.
withdiamonds mentioned a Beatlesque sound to the song. I heard a 60s influence too, but I was thinking of The Turtles. The background "la las las" remind me of a specific song and I can hear it in my head, but I can't think of the name of the tune! Aiiii! It's right on the tip of my brain but it won't come out, dammit.
