Boxes! Gaily wrapped!
Dec. 24th, 2005 08:51 pmSquee! The hubs had a late mission that included muffled phone calls and orders for me not to look for a while...he'd told/warned me earlier that my gift might be too big to be wrapped. I'm like, hmmm, if it's the Mini Cooper or the Range Rover from the used car lot on the corner, that's more than all right. ;-)
But! When I was finally given the all clear to check out the living room, I found four shiny, red-wrapped boxes under the tree. Whee! They're big enough for a flat-panel monitor, harddrive, keyboard and manuals and doc and stuff. Bwahahahahahahaha!!!! OMG, I'd love a new computer, and we were just talking about this the other day. The current one is five-six years old and is gradually not working the way it's supposed to. For instance, I can't have Windows and Winamp open at the same time or something funky is *guaranteed* to happen. So, yay! I shouldn't get too used to the computer idea though, because it could very well be something else, though what I can't possibly imagine.
babygotbass sent me a fab holidays card with a snowman on the front! Thank you, Erin, I love snowmen! I have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many in my collection. Like, *cough*twohundred*cough*. Oy. Thank you, Diggy, for the digital card! So cute, and again, snowman-themed! Well, mice and a snowman, that is. I'm fond of mice, too. I think they're verra cute. :-)
On that same note, I went to Marshall's yesterday. Bought some Seasons Greetings cards, since I couldn't find any specifially for New Year's - because I am teh suck when it comes to sending Christmas cards out on time. I'm going to try to get them ready to mail Monday. And whee!!! Another week off for me. I'm lovin' it. Oh! Under My Tree came on while I perused the cards. Mah boys. Love 'em still, I do.
Spaghetti for dinner tonight, with a yummy artichoke sauce I bought at Marshall's, Robert Rothschild Artichoke Pasta Sauce. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I added mushrooms with garlic and some hamburger. Yum! I'll be buying more of this stuff, methinks. Two thumbs up.
Eeee! The SeSa stories are up! Ten JuC ones! I haven't read them all, but I have two recommendations so far: Hearts Be Light and Hard To Say I'm Sorry: A film about *NSync. Fabulous stories, both of them. Waaaaah! Fandom! I'm gathering all of you to my ample bosom for a big hug.
And on that note, I'm off to talk to Dad for an hour or so...
