Who are your most trusted non-friends?

This is the smart!JC blurbized from the longer Newsweek article - it was all over the online newspages yesterday. What's interesting though, are the titles. Most went out under:

"Former N'Sync Member Bashes Standards Hype"

with this snippet from Newsweek )

At azcentral.com, they ran the same snippet, but gave it a slightly different title spin. Also note, no "of NSync" designator:

"JC Chasez rips investigation of Janet Jackson."

At Texas A&M, in The Battalion, again, no NSync designator given. Also, no first name needed:

"Some issues more important than TV decency says Chasez"

In our nation's capital, washingtontimes.com not surprisingly, further condensed the snippet to focus on the political aspects of JC's words. Again, last name only, no NSync designator.

"Chasez's 2 cents"

Coming out from the shadows of Justin Timberlake, gone-solo 'N Sync singer J.C. Chasez decried the state of high alert over decency standards on TV and radio.

"I think it's hilarious that things are the way they are," Mr. Chasez says in the current issue of Newsweek magazine. "We're about to elect the leader of our country. We don't have enough money for schools, we're at war, and we're worried about this?"

Edited to add: Two more have popped up since I posted this.

Basically the same snippet. The Florida Sun.Sentinel directly quotes the political bits and summarizes the info about his album:

"Singer weighs in on decency uproar"

The Houston Chronicle posts the same basic snippet as the first few, but give it a more eye-catching title:

"Chasez says there's bigger news than breasts out there"

On the same page with an item about Justin's role in "Edison," CNN weighs in with the Newsweek blurb, but says:

"Chasez has questions"

Interesting stuff.

Yes, I know you're all relieved. :-)

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] charlidos who rocks hard and in Swedish. Entertainment Tonight online had this to say:

proves that he's got what it takes to rock on his own )
