It's long. A German shepard!!! I'm dying. From here.

"Did Chasez try to score some free press out of the whole ordeal by issuing a flimsy apology? Only if punching someone in the head and spitting on their shoes is, symbolically, a totally new way of saying sorry. )

Edited to add: I'm glad that he showed mad love to Schizophrenic, but I hate when reviewers tear down one guy to make the other look good. If he likes JC on his own, that's good enough. :-)

Well, the Golden Age of Chasez is over, for me, at least. Seems like it was only yesterday. ::sniff::

From last Friday when I got the album, to last night when I logged off, this has been the most amazing stretch of days since I stumbled into the fandom about three years ago.

JC's always been my favorite, and it's been an absolute joy watching the launch of what I hope will be a long and successful career making and singing his own music. And it's been a *real* pleasure doing it all with you.

Time to go back to work, seeing how I'm not independently wealthy, which is a shame. I'd love to spend my days surfing LJ and writing fic and posting reviews and articles about the Chasez. But I'm a working woman, and this is what I must do. And now, off to work I go.

I love the Chasez more than I ever thought possible, and I love all of you, too. ::kiss::

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] charlidos for this one. From www.denverpost.com.

Schizophrenic, JC Chasez (Jive). Justin Timberlake casts a long shadow, as Chasez learned when his Pro Bowl halftime appearance was canceled following Timberlake's part in the "wardrobe malfunction" at the Super Bowl. This album is no hack-job, though, as he's employed house gurus Basement Jaxx and hip-hop veteran Dallas Austin to produce.

Or at least have enough ready cash that I don't have to work for a living. ::cries:: It was pretty strange being at work today; I think the Chasez knocked everything out of my head. It was like my first day on the job all over again. Loopy and weird! ;-)

Gave the man's CD to the co-worker I'm trying to woo to the sparkly side. I asked if she wanted to see a review first, or jump in cold. She opted to go reviewless.

Edited to add: It's also listed here as one of Billboard's three essentials for the week. Go, baby!

JC Chasez could not have called his solo debut anything but "Schizophrenic." Produced by Robb Boldt, Basement Jaxx and Riprock 'n' Alex G, among others, it is wonderfully all over the musical map, from electro and funk to dance/electronic and pop. Throughout, Chasez, who co-wrote every track, keeps his eye on the dancefloor—though a couple ballads ("Dear Goodbye," "Build My World") make their beauty known. Elsewhere, the soulful "She Got Me," the bouncy "Something Special," the Sting-inflected "Everything You Want," the bootylicious "Shake It" and the hypnotic "All Day Long I Dream About Sex" shine incredibly bright. "One Night Stand" and "Come to Me" cleverly reference Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and Corey Hart's "Sunglasses at Night," respectively. This is adventurous stuff for a Mickey Mouse Club graduate who went on to become a member of 'N Sync.—MP

Says as a whole it's pretty good, but gives it one and a half stars. Weh? )
