Also known as the Crackfic!Santa Danceboy Challenge (only by me, of course), more legitimately known as Don We Now Our Gay Apparel.

Firmly settled on a pairing yesterday; I've been going back and forth, and I think the secondary pairing will be a fun one. Settled on a location within the broader requested location, and a plot has been achieved. I've even written a scenelette-ish thingie that will probably find its way into the finished version. Woohoo!

In other fic-related news, the next part of Age of Love is coming along nicely and will probably be ready to post this week. More woohoo-age than you can shake a stick at! Or, because it makes me laugh, more woohoo-age than that at which a stick can be shaken. Bwahaha! I love language.

And now the long weekend is over, even though I did a bit of work here and there while I was "off." Can't wait for Christmas, when I'll well and truly be on vacation and won't have to worry about workage at all.

In honor of the fine month of December and all it represents, and since we didn't celebrate last year, I'm going all out this year. I've slapped up a Christmas icon here, and I changed the [livejournal.com profile] mustbepop_watch LJ colors to reflect a more seasonal flavor, and whipped out a seasonal icon for that journal, too.

My cats are spazzing, which is always fun. Time to gear up for work. ::le sigh::

I'm excited because my Secret Santa!Giddy-up Rudolph, Let's Get Busy! Challenge fic is in the process of practically writing itself!

To the uninitiated, the above refers, of course, to Don We Now Our Gay Apparel. I love coming up with alternate names for the thing. I hope that Georgina and Pet are as amused. ;-)

So anyway, I'm writing. There seems to be smut happening, which is completely not the way I'd intended for it to start. The participants seem happy with the turn of events, so I'll let them have at it as long as they deem necessary, which is probably for another minute or so. I hate to interrupt, but they've got a story to tell, dammit. Or is it that they have a story to be told? Weh?

I'm tired like nobody's business, but quite pleased with the story so far. Off to write a little more.
