What the?!

What's the deal with not being able to switch back and forth between uploaded pics??? I've seen this accomplished in other journals, so I know it's possible. Does LiveJournal hate me? What the hell is up with this?

If anyone would like to venture a guess - besides saying something like, "You're a doofus! You suck!" - I'd be grateful. I'm feeling technologically impotent at the moment. I'm a sad monkey. :-(

So, I'm reading slash, adding to my recs page, and thinking about the CDs I need to burn so that the originals may be returned to their rightful owners. Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies, and about five Tori Amos discs, maybe six. I loooove my CD burner. I heart it muchly.

I think I need to talk about my story with someone. It's a wicked evil story, and it won't behave. Aiii, won't someone please come to my house and kick me into a higher gear? Please?

What the hell is the deal with quotes and ellipses appearing as question marks instead of their punctuational selves? I work with a 'what you see is what you get' page builder; my hand-coding skills are negligible at best, but I'm willing to dive in and give anything a try.

I'd also be grateful for direction to URLS where I can look the stuff up on my own.
