Scoop from the JJB is that JC will be opening for Brit in Europe. Has anyone else heard this?

*blink* Is this new information from the rumors that JC had turned the Brit opener down?

Supposedly new, though we're still waiting for this guy to name the source.

I'm looking around but I don't see anything. And still no source given...

How odd. I'm a bit surprised with myself because when it was brought up for her American tour I was heartily against it, but I don't have the same automatic negative feelings about it for Europe. It'd definitely be a way for him to get some exposure in that market.

And with 'Plug It In' being released and everything...could be good!

Does this mean I need to fly to EUROPE?

I read about that days ago, but I don't remember where.
It said that Jive or someone asked JC to tour with her, but he refused. I think out of respect to Justin or something like that.

I'm not really sure about the reason, but he did say no. Or so that site said.

I'm pretty sure the thing was that he was offered the opening act slot, but refused, because he wanted his own thing, the whole back to basic argument or something.

I hope to god it isn't true. (I don't like Britney so it's a personal preference, but it's not just that.) Yeah, it would be good exposure, but to what audience? I think he should and could get a new audience, one that isn't connected to Nsync or Britney or anything. His music is so much more independent and adventurous, that I feel it would not be right for him.

I'm very fond of the idea, as he's said himself, that he'll work himself up, without any shortcuts. Smaller is better for him, I think. And besides, if he does tour with her here, I'd have to go and I'd have to pay to see Britney and that gives me pain.

I kind of wish he would, because that means I'd have a chance to see him life :-).
