January 13, 2004 03:51 PM - "Schizophrenic," the debut solo album from 'NSync member JC Chasez, is now scheduled to reach stores on Feb. 24, a month later than initially planned.

Though fans will have to wait a little longer for the album, its first single, "Some Girls (Dance with Women)" is currently gaining significant airplay at pop radio stations, according to Jive Records. Chasez recently filmed a video for the track in Los Angeles and New York with director Martin Weisz.

According to Jive, Chasez is featured in the Jan. 16 issue of Entertainment Weekly, and additional stories will surface in the coming weeks in Rolling Stone, People, Blender, Spin and USA Today.

Chasez is also expected to appear on several television shows in February, including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Ryan Seacrest Show," "Live with Regis & Kelly," and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

In December, Chasez embarked on a brief club tour, where he previewed many songs from the forthcoming album.

The track listing for "Schizophrenic" is:

Some Girls (Dance with Women)
She Got Me
100 Ways
Mercy
Build My World
Something Special
If You Were My Girl
Shake It (featuring the Basement Jaxx)
All Day Long I Dream About Sex
One Night Stand
Come To Me
Dear Goodbye
Everything You Want
Lose Myself
Right Here By Your Side

Phew! So happy to see Shake It on there, since one of the track lists I'd seen recently didn't show it.

Also, I think it just hit me now: In six weeks... or thereabouts... we're going to have an album. A whole album. Of JC.

*wibbles*

*laughs at self really, really hard, but wibbles some more*

You know when it hit me? The other day when the EW article came out. Not the article so much, though it's the first in a major (non-teeny!) mainstream publication...it was the picture and the title. It made it all real. It wasn't one of the stock promo pictures he's taken lately, it was *an actual picture for the magazine.* A shoot for that article, with the words, "The Fresh Prince."

Damn, it gave me chills. :-)

I keep haunting the magazine aisles, waiting for it to make it to stores. I can't wait to see it in person!

Me too! That was one of my favorite songs from his show, and I would have cried if it wasn't on the album.

What's interesting, though, is tha I was afraid the media would make a big deal out of the many pushbacks, that they'd give it a negative spin. I can't think of a single article I've seen that suggests the pushbacks were because of a poor product. I think that says a lot!

I agree, that's very nice to see. I think really, it was something that seemed like a big deal to us (well and was - I want an album!), but is probably very common in the industry and so it's not a big point of interest for most people.

But you're right, it might make people think the album is bad, so it's good to see the positive talk.
