JC IN CINCINNATI! (Take two!)

Squee!!!

Well, after my initial freakout at not being able to go (possibly), scot_ty got my ass on AIM, pronto, and talked me off the ledge. After hearing the reasons why I probably/possibly/might not be able to make it, she offered a solution my gloom-locked brain hadn't yet worked out for itself: spend the night and drive straight to work the next morning.

Weh? After about two seconds to process this information, I realized that yes, it's a viable option. WOO-friggin'-HOO!!! Though my enthusiasm is cautious. Still! Better than having no plan at all! :-)

So. Because I won't be able to take those two days off (which would be ideal):

1) Check Cinci maps. Where's the venue, and what's the cheapest and closest hotel accomodations nearby. Make reservation.

2) Get to work super early the day of. Put in a full eight hours, leave around...2:00-3:00.

2) Pray to the gods of traffic that I arrive in Cinci around 5:00-6:00.

3) Check into wherever. Dump stuff.

4) Head to venue. Meet up (hopefully) with others who'll be there for dinner and squeeing...?

5) SEE JC!!!!!!!

6) Back to the hotel, sleep.

7) Get up at ass o'clock and head straight to work. Pray to the gods of traffic that I get there before noon.

8) Update LJ at lunch. :-)

9) Put in a full eight hours, go home and crash.

10) Woohoo! JC!!!


That's my plan. So. Anyone going to Cincinnati? :-)

I really really wish I could. It's just not possible. I work 7-5:30 on Thursday and Friday.

Yes. *g* lilysaid and I are going, for sure (come hell or high water. I WILL BE THERE.). Prolly allen_sama; she lives in the area. Possibly tallories and shinetheway -- I've emailed Jen to see if she wants to drive up with me and Lily, and I'll talk to Jan at some point this week. Hee!

Just so you know, tho' -- the concert/gathering thing is going to be at Jillians in Covington, which is technically across the river, in Kentucky. You'll prolly need to take I-75 South. If you want, email me your AIM sn and/or phone # and we can figure it out.

Like someone has already said, Jillian's is *just* across the border of Cincinnati, OH -- in Covington, KY. If you stay at a hotel in KY, you will probably be able to find cheaper rates for the night than in Cincinnati. Jillian's is right off the expressway, too, so it isn't difficult to find. ;-)
