The subject is *always* JC.
Jul. 11th, 2003 02:31 pmSome Girls will be JC's first single. And *finally*, what looks to be a reliable album release date, October 21st. This sucks because I'm tired of waiting!!! and this means that Schizophrenic won't be eligible for a 2003 Grammy. On the brighter side, though, 'Some Girls' will be eligible. Too bad I don't know any Academy members to rough up.
On the writing side of life, nearly one-third of the next chapter of Chasez Lake has been edited. Yikes! My muse finally decided to get with the program - she can be quite an irksome bitch when she's being stubborn. But woohoo! Thar be ficcage ahead matey! Quite possibly before the end of the year, even!

Date: 2003-07-11 11:52 am (UTC)And I'm actually happy Some Girls is his first single. It's all dance-y which means I can club it up. LoL.
I'm debating on the release date. Hmm...

Date: 2003-07-11 11:58 am (UTC)LOL! I know, what did I say last night about it? ;-)
I was sitting in front of my computer this morning, actively avoiding having to do any work, and I thought, hmmm. Probably wouldn't take too long to come up with one hundred things about me that no one knows. It took me a little less than an hour to come up with 73 items. It'll take longer than that to type them up, probably.
And funny you should ask, because you're number 73...
73) I love

I'm going to make a huge post about your having the balls to do this. I am *so* impressed.

Date: 2003-07-11 12:11 pm (UTC)Hah! That's what I thought. Said something to that effect last night and yet...here I am. Almost.
Anyway, nothing too exciting will be revealed. Though there are 27 spots to fill, yet. Maybe I'll see how many eyeballs I can pop. ;-)

Date: 2003-07-11 12:14 pm (UTC)Swear to God, that story has been kicking my ass to hell and back.
I've *never* had a fic as uncooperative as this one, and I've had one or two stubborn stories that fought me tooth and nail. I mean really, over a year to write one section? Madness, I tell you. Madness. The day I post I'll probably have a glass of wine to celebrate. ;-)

Date: 2003-07-11 12:20 pm (UTC)But you know? I think maybe I need to do something like this, honestly. Throw off the shackles of...shackledom. Stuff like that.

Date: 2003-07-11 12:22 pm (UTC)Okay, and randomly, since this is on the topic of JC's songs... "One Night Stand" -- am I the only one noticing all the songs he samples?

We could have that big, ugly, public smackdown we talked about. And then end it.
I'm good either way. ;-P

Date: 2003-07-11 12:31 pm (UTC)Weh? List please! Something other than Donna Summer and Smokey Robinson?
(I'm listening now and I'm chair dancing big time.)
Other than reminding me of Prince (in a not really sounding like him kinda way), I don't hear anything else. Learn me!

Date: 2003-07-11 12:36 pm (UTC)What's funny is that I had this as number 74:
74) Scotty and I have spectacular fights once every two months or so.
But I scratched it off the list 'cause I didn't know if you'd be pissed about it. ::smooch::

Re: woohoo!
Date: 2003-07-11 12:45 pm (UTC)How much do I love seeing our two icons together? That always makes me smile.
That would be a fun *NLJ project - everyone in fandom would create an icon from the same picture (customized to their specifications) and then use that icon on the same day.
more Chasez Lake on the horizon!
Yes! Fic butt-kicking is in the process of being achieved, I'm pleased to say. I wonder if this is the way a parent feels when the kids grow up and leave the nest? You're sad to see them go, but that doesn't stop you from having a party about it, either.

I know - I admit I used that specifically cause it matched yours!
The *NLJ project sounds like a ton of fun - it could be really great to see how everyone attacked the challenge.
hmm, it's the fic-version of the empty nest syndrome, maybe?

Huh? Oh, I won't mention ChasezLake and how high my hopes *lept* when I read that bit. No pressure. At all. No pressure at all. But yeah, that JC and Justin have been in FicLimbo for *far* to long, dude. I think I saw them in that Sandy (the older? younger?) story; Justin was pacing pensively and JC was biting his nails rather furiously... just a heads up!
