What a lazy weekend I've had, and I've enjoyed every minute of it.

Haven't done much, except surf for CFTC pics of the guys (JC! looking squee-worthy and mighty fine in his big, curly hair), and read Harry Potter slash. Yikes! if anyone knows of some quality ron/draco *cough* hook a sister up.

Other than that I'm feeling kind of eh. Not really in a writing mood, though I've got a blue million things I could be working on. Also, I heard about Joey freaking/getting freaked on by some guy in a club the other night (at the Groove party, I believe) to, of all things, Slave 4 U. So yeah, that scene in CL:Justin's b-day is definitely out now. Excuse me while I pout.

Pimpin' goodness: It's back, go read it a couple of times - Lance Bass, Crawdads, and the American Way, by Scotty.

I thought I had more to say, but evidently not. Hmmm, perhaps I'll write after all. Or go bug someone else into writing. Mwahahaha! Perhaps not.

You know...after the initial incident, I sucked it up and thought, well, ok. Maybe I'll leave it in. But Jesus, Joey gettin' his freak on with some dude to the same. friggin'. song? Too weird. Would have been tres cool if I'd written my scene first, of course! :-D

I'm going to re-work it as a really short PWP stand alone with no link to the other story at all. It's on disk right now, mocking me, the bastard.

No, please don't think that you did! I'm being pouty because I wrote a scene (actually nothing all that original because others have written similar) in which JC and Justin are in a club, and JC dances for Justin to Slave 4 U.

I vote that you leave the story as originally planned. None of your fans want to wait any longer than is already necessary for another installment of Chasez Lake. Including this one.

Well, I'll tell you the reason I want you to leave that scene in.

Hmm, OK, it's not only the image of JC dancing...lip-synching that song...all for Justin’s viewing pleasure is mad hot. Because yes, it is. But for me the thing that “tickles my fancy” about it so, is that it’s that JC! The JC from Chazes-Lake, the JC that had a popped a woody on Valentines Day in silk jimmies (while Britney was present...priceless), the JC that Justin bought a house for (and accepted it mind you!!), the JC that was flirting with the wine cellar guy! (eeeeee!!!) The idea of that JC, along with the obvious “hot boy” images is what makes it for me. [sigh]

But if you don’t feel comfortable writing something that’s been “done”, or already "pondered", well, that’s your baggage dude. [cackle]

There's no such thing as “originality”, when you think about it, because everthing has already been done (mostly), particularly in a fandom that’s so saturated with talented (eh, half decent [g]) writers. It’s what you do with that idea that’s been “done to death” or "already thought of" that makes it yours, and I know you can, you goofball. =-P

Eeek! I probably will leave it as is, simply because the thing's taking such joy in kicking my butt (and laughing about it). I'm eager to wrestle it to the ground and gloat.

It's a sad life when you're mocked by your fic. ::sniff::
