FIC PIMPIN'!

Pimpin' two stories of mine. Beauty. Queen. was written for the Slash-Across-America challenge; my state was Ohio. Hey! My state!

Second story being pimped is Valentine, which was to have been part of the Chasez Lake series.

I think I whined about this in an earlier LJ entry; since CL more or less follows the happenings and whereabouts of the Syncers this past holiday season, J+B threw a monkeywrench into this story when they didn't spend Valentine's Day together (oddly enough, we're probably just finding out now why they weren't together then). Anyway, since it was written ahead of time, it completely threw the story out of whack. So Valentine stands on its own.

I may or may not write something completely different to go in Chasez Lake, or I might end the series with Justin's birthday. Haven't yet decided. ::muses::

Mini-rant on: Waah! What is it about one person of a three-person team being off that inspires a second member of said THREE-person team to be off at the same time? And why does it seem to have happened two or three times in the last few months?

Is this aggravating? Yes. It's bad enough when the three of us are there, but holy friggin' cow, holding down the fort by oneself can be wiggy.

AND said second member may or may not have had a pile of old work on her desk that should have been taken care of days ago. Rather than disturb her pile (as the boss wondered if I should), it seemed to me that I'd waste valuable hours of work time just trying to figure out what needed to be done before I even started. Suffice it to say that I concentrated on whittling away my own rather formidable pile of work.

And, woohoo! My pile is lots smaller. :-) Here's hoping that the mysterious ailment/emergeny isn't repeated tomorrow. Mini-rant off.

You know what? It wouldn't hurt the story, for me, if you had that part in the continuity, because as long as an author doesn't change the major details - such as the color of someone's hair or eyes - I can pretty much believe anything, when reading a fanfic.

Speaking of Chasez Lake. *pokes foxmonkey* When's the next part going to be out? Because you've made us wait so long!

I'm completely jealous of your incredible talent. Such subtle shading that I can reread some sentences 3 and 4 times with increasing enjoyment. The last lines of Beauty.Queen. were absolutely stunning in their simplicity. Wonderful. Really. I'm a fan.

FOX!

I don't think I can tell you how much I love this story. Just. You captured the feeling perfectly in my eyes. Love it. Love you.

Well, you already know that I love you and your stuff (though you don't *really* even know me LoL!!) I just thought I'd throw my valuable-oh-so-wanted two cents into the ring. LoL

Those stories rocked immensely, and I was looking for "Chasez-Lake Valentine's Day" to make a post and stuff about how much I loved it. LoL Whatever though, right. And "Beauty. Queen." was *so* intelligent, yet, not overly condescending... does that make sense? LoL

In any event; those were some *damn* good reads, yo. Hee!

Thank you for your very lovely comments! Especially nice, because I'm a fan of your writing.

I suck, because I don't think I've fed you back even though I love your stuff! Your writing is smart, challenging, and best of all, Joshtin.

Loved Ever-Fixed Mark. Aiiii! That one made me swoon. Other favorites are Nightstream, and Sex, Lies & Joey's Videotapes. Also Evolution...ok, gotta stop now, because, yes. :-)

Yes, I'm sitting here smiling at my computer screen, so what? :-) Thank you, thank you.

Love you, too, and I'd love you more if you'd make me happy and work on that story, the title of which I Promised Never Again to Mention. *ahem* Don't make me get out my whip! ::crack::

Thank you, thank you! I didn't think anyone would like it, for different reasons. Then again, I don't ever think anyone's going to like anything I write!

So, hugs and stuff for liking it, and popping in to tell me so. :-)

I swear to you by all that's holy, the thing really is in the works. :-D

I can't believe New Year's increased in volume the way it did. On its own, I think it's going to be the longest NSync fic that I've written...what am I saying, I think? It already is! The last part was seriously kicking my ass, and I've finally gotten it to a place where I can whip it into shape. Now that my SAA story is done, I can get my brain in a Chasez Lake groove!
