Woohoo, purchased a copy of VIBE today! I was surprised to find the Justin Rolling Stone wasn't on display - I'm thinking they haven't put it out, because this store always has current copies until the next issue comes out. But I got VIBE, sealed with a free poster inside the bag and everything. I'm very pleased.
Amusing exchange with the kid at the checkout. He was about 17 or 18, kinda goth-y, skater boi-y; dark roots, blond tips. Cute. :-)
He scanned the mag, then looked at it and said, "Man, I never thought I'd see Justin on the cover of VIBE magazine." I laughed and said, "Yeah, and the cover of Rolling Stone, if it ever gets here." He goes, "Yeah, but they've been having those pop people on the cover lately. But *VIBE*." I said, "He's got a Grammy nomiination, in the rap category." He looked interested and I said, "For Like I Love You." And he said, "Well, I'm not that into his music or anything, but that one video, the new one..." and I said, "Cry Me a River," and we both started grinning. He said, "Yeah, that's cool." I said, "He surprised a lot of people with that video." Checkout boi nodded and agreed and we wished each other a good day. Bwahahaha! NSync's gonna rule the world when they come back.
Aside from that, I'm working at work, working at home, and doing Stop the Presses stuff in the evening. Me and Scotty, baby!
Doing a little feedback. I wanted to give my opinion during the feedback thanks kerfuffle, but decided that authors who live in glass houses shouldn't throw pointed barbs. Gotta clean the skeletons outta my own closet before I go peeking in someone else's. ;-) I'm evil, dammit! But I'm trying to be good.
Hmmm. OH! How much do I love Lance's voice? I mean, seriously. I swoon every now and then, and this is another swooning time. I love Lance Bass. That is all.
