First of all, mega-shoutout to fellow JC girl Halo. And they talked! *On the phone*! Dude, you talked to him on the phone!!! :-) (((halo)))

Seriously, if that had been me, I'd have to take a sick day or something. No way would I be able to work after that, because I'd probably just talk about JC all. day. long. I think I'd be crying and shaking right now, even hours later. Eeeee! Lucky, lucky girl.

So there's talk of a Hartford show now, eh? Who do I have to smack up 'side their head to get a show here in the forgotten middle states??? I'm going to flash the big anime eyes of doom in JC's direction and hope for the best. ::crosses fingers::

In other news, last night I redeemed an Amazon gift certificate that was due to expire today. I covered three of my loves, books, music and Nsync. NSync Backstage Pass game! Woohoo! Because I'm an idiot I waited too long and NSync Fan Theresa (Barbie) had sold out. Ten dollars. I am much of the stupid!

Also got the new CD by Live - Bird of Pray (not a typo). Kowalcyzk's all about the spiritual. I've seen reviews where they were mocked heavily for the last album, V, but I *loved* it. More than Secret Samadhi, maybe even more than I enjoyed Throwing Copper. foxmonkey = Live fangirl.

Also purchased "Lamb : The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" by Christopher Moore. I've wanted this one for a while, and it promises to be a fairly hilarious read. I'll probably be AWOL from LJ when it arrives.

From a review:

With a wit similar to Douglas Adams, Moore pulls no punches: a young Biff has the hots for Joshua's mom, Mary, which doesn't amuse Josh much: "Don't let anyone ever tell you that the Prince of Peace never struck anyone."

JC!

He can't skip the middle, can he? Could you do a Chicago show if he made it there?

That book (besides being THEBESTBOOKEVER!!) is like a biblical ode to TrickC. No lie, man. No motherfucking lie.

In thanks...

He's the most talented person you've ever known.

You knew that from Day 1. Tony may have been the big crowd favorite on MMC, but you weren't some starstruck audience member, you were in the cast, an entertainer yourself, and a damn good one. You were going places, you knew it--and you were right. You were also right about JC.

Now it's your name that outshines his, not Tony's, but JC hasn't changed. He still sings with the same passion, the same blinding intensity that stole your heart all those years ago.

Sometimes you wish he'd give it back.

Psst. Tell [livejournal.com profile] scot_ty about this, will you? It's for her too, but she's disabled anonymous comments.

ROFL! I can't wait! I saw it in a book club brochure a few months ago and it looked *really* interesting, but being the lazy cow I am, I didn't think about it again. Now that I've ordered it, I'm really excited. All the excerpts looked hysterical. ;-)

And ode to TrickC? Bwahahahaha! I can so see that. Chris as Biff, urging a confused Joshua down the path of temptation. OMG, wait! Biff slash! Eeeeee!

I am *so* going to hell.

Done. :-)

Thank you! (((anonymous))) What a lovely idea...I hope it spreads far and wide. We can all use a little bit of unexpected pleasure. :-)

Bittersweet JuC. It's so simple and direct, and packed with everything about JuC that makes me want to cry. Very, very lovely, and I can't thank you enough.

I love Live. I haven't bought the new one yet. Throwing Copper is still my fav.
They went to high school about 10 min from my house. LOL One of my friends from HS is married to Chad Taylor. He came to our 10 year reunion with her. LOL

I think I'm screwed. I completely forgot that I'm in charge of holiday coverage for my team Christmas week. And I'm already going to be off Thanksgiving week and possibly the wek after Thanksgiving (and god forbid plans change once the holiday schedule's been decided!)... So yeah, screwed.

If Ohio or Chicago shows are added, and if they're scheduled *after* November/December, I'm cool.

Can't believe I forgot the last two weeks of December are pretty much shot for me going anywhere. Major suckage. :-(

Eeee! I'm within six degrees from Live! :-D

Live's one of three groups I'll buy without hearing a release first, the others are NSync and Dave Matthews Band. I liked V so much, that I was surprised to see so many harsh reviews for it. I thought it was a pretty cool departure from their norm, myself.

I liked quite a few songs on The Distance to Here, too, come to think of it. Dolphin's Cry is probably my favorite Live song ever, followed by...TBD. Hmmm. Then Deep Enough, Simple Creed and Transmit Your Love. V and The Distance to Here are my two favorites of theirs. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Time to put in V...

Dude!!! Did you know that there's a video on this CD!? I put in V, and that enhanced CD stuff loaded up. I always cancel the installation because I don't want yet *another* viewer on my harddrive. But I decided to explore the CD, which I've never done. Opened it up with that Windows explore option and hello, there's a video for Simple Creed! That I've never seen!!!

Man, it's like Christmas.

I just finished reading Lamb. I thought it was one of the best books I've read in a long time! Hysterical and witty and clever and wonderful.

Also, my relief knows no bounds that I was not the only one making nsync parallels. LOL! Definitely an ode to TrickC. The entire freaking time I read it, I pictured Joshua as JC, most especially the JC in [livejournal.com profile] valiumbitch. The coffee addiction! Abuse of sarcasm! It's all good. <.g>

!!!! I'm so excited! Man, if I'd used my Borders gift certificate instead of the Amazon, I could've been reading Lamb right now. :-)

But I got notice that my order shipped today! Woohoo! I hope I have it in time for rainy Sunday afternoon reading.

You are very welcome. I wanted to make it happier for you, but I had to settle for what it wanted to do. I hope the spirit behind the gift makes up for any sadness in it.

Heavens no, I hope I didn't give you the wrong impression! It's a beautiful ficlet, and I thank you. Scotty loved it, too. :-)

There's so many facets to their relationship, things we'll never know, and I think that your ficlet touches on one of those. And believe me, I know about stories doing what they want to do. Thank you again, so much. (((anonymous)))
