Dreamwidth!

I think I'm ready to import my LJ entries to Dreamwidth and start posting from there. 0_o <--(why does that look funnier when other people do it?) My paid LJ account runs out in January, so that's when I'll start a paid DW account. I'll keep cross-posting though, since I hardly know anyone on Dreamwidth.

It's a little scary; it's kind of like when I started my LJ and had no friends. :( There's new terminology to learn, blah blah blah...in short, I hope that this will be my only and LAST journal move! Dreamwidth, don't let me down! Once I move I'll be with you for the long haul. :-)

Yes, please make sure you keep cross posting, because I'm not moving even though I have an account there. lol

Do you want to be read here or on DW? I'm asking because I usually remove everyone from my flist (and add them to my DW reading list) who says in their crossposting note that the "entry was originally posted at DW" because that implies to me that this is only a copy and the original is to be found on DW where the reader is supposed to comment.

I'm glad you will continue to cross post. :)

You better not think of not crossposting. I will hunt you down!

Everyone seems to be headed to Dreamwidth and I would like to head that way too, but I suffer from severe "know-it-all" syndrome and need to know everything about the new site before I take action. I don't know enough about the other platform to make the jump. The whole "open-ID" thing confuses me too. Is there a LJ/Dreamwidth comparison guide/FAQ/How-to anywhere for us ultra-anal-retentive types?
