I'm *such* a girl. Really.

The company gives us wellness calendars every year, and as I was adjusting the page to September (where's the year gone!?), I saw a host of little tips on the last page. One of the lists is entitled: "What You Can Learn From Your Dog." Item number one:

When a family member comes home, drop whatever you're doing and run to greet them.

I immediately think of my cat. I have three, but this particular one is my favorite. Every evening he runs to the back door and paces back and forth, meowing, while I unlock the door. When I come in, he does the I'm-slinking-around-your-ankles thing, purrs, arches his back. I coo at him and scratch his head and generally love him up until he decides he's welcomed me enough and goes trotting off.

When I read that blurb on the calendar I thought of my cat's sweet little face when he's looking up at me and I'm looking down at him through the window. Swear to god, I got all choked up.

PMS!

You are just a big, sweet marshmallow. And I love that about you!

Love you, too. :-) And I'm feeling better today! (((Scotty)))
