I Saw God.

One year ago today, I saw God, right here in my town, with my own two eyes. One year ago today I saw NSync in concert for the first time.

I was already in love, but seeing them in the flesh just about killed me. A lot of the concert was spent clutching Ang's hand and squeeing. We had catwalk seats, catwalk (thank you Allen!), and it was friggin' amazing. I don't think I've ever had a night like that before, and probably won't have another one like it until the next time they come around.

JC is far and away my favorite, yes, and Justin's just after him. I love all five of them individually, and I almost can't believe how much I adore them as a unit. Their success is based on soooo much more than luck, being in right place at the right time, or talent. It's a mix of all those things, but more.

Tops for me? They adore each other. They have fun on stage. I've never seen a band that seems to enjoy not only performing together, but just *being* together as much as these guys, and call me naive, but it's no act. I'm not even talking about slashy stuff here, I'm talking guys who are comfortable with themselves and aren't afraid to show how much they care about each other.

I feel proud - PROUD! - when other artists praise NSync, and talk about how professional they are, how nice they are, how down to earth they are. I feel proud because those are *my* boys they're talking about. Through all the pop star crushes I've had in my life, I've never felt as deeply about a band as I do NSync - and *that's* what's made them the biggest band in the world. They connect with their fans on that level that a lot of acts just can't touch. I love Dave Matthews Band. I love Live. I love John Mayer. But NSync? They're my babies and I absolutely adore them.

I'm not psychotic. I don't know them, and I know that most likely I never will. But I'm crazy about them like nobody's business, and I'm not ashamed to tell people about it. Every time I pass the stadium in town, I think about the day that I saw God. Here's what I wrote last year:

Saw one of the tourbuses arrive at the venue. Can you say "excited," boys and girls? I thought that you could. *ggggggggggggggggggggg*

I love them together, and I love them separately. And that's all I have to say about that.

I remember the first time I saw them, it was June 2, 2000 it was wonderful. I've seen them 11x since then & it just gets better.




They love eachother so much it makes me glow & that is why I love them so much. I refuse to beleve that what I see is an act or anything other than beautiful & genuine.

Yes! Exactly. I sit there with a silly smile on my face when I watch them together. And that's a good way to put it: they make me glow. :-)

Eleven times! I've only seen them twice, and I'll be there at the ticket office the next time they come around. If Justin tours and he swings by me, you can bet your ass I'll be at the ticket counter forking over my hard-earned cash to see him. I'm buying the album, probably on the first day of release. I love him. I love them all.

I agree completely, no matter where I have to go to see him, I will go & no doubt I will be at Tower Records at 11:59 on Novemeber 11.

Oh, wow. I remember that day so well. Getting the tickets the Thursday before and FREAKING because I found such good ones on Ticketmaster, and then watching them on the Today Show that morning before I hopped in the car and drove up, meeting Becky and Ang at the hotel, finding you after the IMAX, and the show, and our four simultaneous gasps of shock when we saw how *freaking* close our seats were.

And I'm so. so. SO. glad that your first show of theirs was right there by the catwalk. It was so worth it.

I got all filled up, as my mom would have said, when I typed that up last night. Other than missing the IMAX show -

::shakes fist at husband who didn't fill the friggin' gas tank so I had to stop::

- it was honestly one of the most wonderful days of my life. Meeting you guys, squeeing like schoolgirls, talking slash before and after...wouldn't have missed it for the world. ((((Allen))))

Oh, wow. I never did get the Times ad, no, because I didn't know where to get a copy and then ran out of time before work. (And of course I just found out the other night that they carry it at Kroger's -- grr!) Anyway. Um. I would, er, love a copy...

Well, sad to say, but I am very uncool, and have never felt the joy of seeing the boys live. I ain't mad at ya though, boo!

But (in a lame attempt to be "down") I have seen them on tv, and feel things to the same effect, sort of, though I'm sure not as strong as anything I'd feel live, so yeah. :-P
