Day 12 - A song from a band you hate
Day 12 - A song from a band you hate
After much thought (and internet research), I've come up with a band.
Now, I know that there truly *is* a band out there that I hate, but for the moment these guys will have to do. As looks go, Adam Levine is closer to the hotter end of the scale than not, but ye *Gods* the man's voice drives me around the bend. Since the world has become aware of Maroon 5, I've probably heard two songs of theirs in their entirety -- twice, once each. I have one album of theirs, Songs About Jane, in my iPod; every time one of their songs comes up in shuffle mode, I hit "next" faster than...something fast. So, while I don't really hate these guys, I do find them hard to listen to for any length of time.
Edited to add: I originally considered Blues Traveler because John Popper gets on my nerves and I'm not that impressed with his harmonica skillz. But! Even though I'm not crazy about the band, I *can* listen to them without bursting my ear drums.

ROFL! There's one part in the chorus where I always wonder if that's really his voice, or if there's some kind of synthesizer or something tweaking it. Aiiii!
In all fairness, I played snippets of the album after posting this and realized that I've actually listened to most of the songs at least halfway through -- and some of them aren't bad.
You know how there are bands that are pretty good and they're popular but they just don't click with your own personal vibe? That's these guys for me. ::shudder::

I'm on crack, obviously.
I also have about a blue million Christina Aguilera albums in my iPod, and I "next song!" her just about as fast as I do Maroon 5. I like her voice, but her style of singing gets on my nerves after a while.
I think it's one of those things where:
1) I have enough space on my 80G iPod to keep them around.
2) I keep giving them one more try -- why, I don't know.
