Friggin' waaaaaaaaaah, dammit.

iTunes! iTunes sucks! I'm very disappointed. Connected, created an ID, found a few songs that I wanted, and tried to buy them. Discovered that I needed to upgrade to version 6 (I'm running 4) in order to buy music. Checked out the specs and discovered that in order to run version 6, you need broadband which, guess what, I don't have. Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! Disappointment, thy name is foxmonkey. Dammit.

Also much of the lame, the only Led Zeppelin available for download is some goofy-looking tribute album. What!? It's not even the very much of the cool one, Encomium, no, it's something I've never seen. I couldn't believe it. No Led Zeppelin. Also, I've been jonesing for Poison Girl by Chris Whitley since FOREVER, and figured, hey! I'll download it! Hah! They had the live version but not the studio version. All of which turned out to be moot anyway because iTunes haaaaates meeeeee! Like the Chasez, I must be working off some incredibly bad karma. Again, grrrrrrrrr.

I am displeased.

Of the good, I'm listening to 'Passive' by A Perfect Circle. One of the most kick-ass tunes evaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Maynard James Keenan, man. Love that voice. And he's from Ohio! Also of the kick-ass variety, their dark version of Imagine, re-worked as the coolest dirge you'll ever hear. Loooooooooooove these guys.

Can you do another service? I sadly know nothing about I-Tunes!

You know, I'd forgotten about the Napster download site. I'll check it out. Only thing is that I hadn't stopped to think that a high-speed connection probably makes the most sense for downloads, especially if you're buying several songs or an album. ::cries:: I guess it's a good reason to buy Roadrunner. ;-)

I don't know what's up with Led Zeppelin - I'm not a huge fan, but there are a few songs I'd like to have. I can't get them through MusicMatch, either. BTW, I know MusicMatch works with dial-up. The software is klunky (it was much better about three versions ago), and tends to stop responding if you do something stupid, like playing a song, however.

I have a ton of their albums, but there's one live tune in particular that I'd like to have without buying the entire album. Waaaaah! I'll just have to be on the lookout at Half-price. ;-p

Some artists (Led Zepplin obviously being among them) just don't want to allow their music to be downloaded, period. In this day and age I think it's stupid, because so many people are buying songs through services like iTunes.

But bummer about the iTune store! But hey. Excuse to get broadband ;)

You know, I didn't even think of that possibility. I'll stop ripping iTunes a new one, then. ;-)

Yay! It's beginning to look inevitable.

Oh, you can still rip them a new one, just not for that reason ;)

LOL! Hey, that's right! Never pass up the opportunity for a good tongue lashing. ;-)

heh, I have another problem - it won't let me log on!

I'll tell you another thing - it's not the most intuitive site to use, either. It seems to be overly-complicated and non-user-friendly. I was excited about buying music online, but man, there's got to be a better way!

really? that's disappointing. I'm not a mac user or a computer wiz, but usually anything Apple related is so easy to use that I can figure it out quickly.
