Top Chef - short but sweet.
Cut-tagging 'cause I'm down like that.
Thank you, Jesus, that slacker Michael has finally been eliminated. His voice aggravates the hell out of me and he never seemed like he really *wanted* to win, it all seemed like a big ol' joke to him. He drove me insane. Why the hell didn't he say, hey, we have 75 bucks now, we can get wine after all! But he gave it his usual slacker attitude. He got the stuff on the list and that's all he truly cared about. What a friggin' IDIOT. Clear the cobwebs outta your brain, numbnuts, and try thinking sometime. "Too bad, so sad." What the hell? I'm so, so glad that came back to bite his stupid ass.
On the other hand, I'm bigtime in lurve with Sam and want him to win. I picked Harold last season and he won, so now I'm going to turn my winner-picking mojo Sam's way. ::sends mojo lurve waves to Sam::
And what was Cliff's deal? "I want to work the front of the house." Doofus. Shut up. SHUT UP! I thought he was a strong contender at one point, but I'm beginning to wonder. I want to smack him.

Yes! He had immunity and *still* insisted on being an ass and a bully. I wouldn't be sad to see him go.

They have to have a reunion show! Wait...they're voting for fan favorite, and last season that was presented during the reunion show. It's a bit of a stretch, but I'll hang onto that as proof that we'll get one. ;-)
Elia's had some strong dishes. Overall, I think she and Sam, I think? have been the most consistent week after week. Her mushroom soup had me drooling.

Not to overdo sticking up for him, but if they'd bought wine with the $75 he had leftover, they wouldn't have had the money for wine glasses to serve it in, I don't think?

I thought about that too, at first. :-) BUT. They could have made do with water glasses, in true rustic Italian fashion. It would have been a nice family-style touch!

Elia, because she seems relatively down to Earth, and Marcel, because some of this crap hurled against him is just insane. Ilan needs to be kicked in the groin.

Between the two of them, I think it would be Elia. She's been rating pretty highly the last few challenges, and is looking strong. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she won!

1. His season started him as the obnoxious one, but now we see none of that while...
2. We hear nothing but bitching and moaning about Marcel from both Ilan and Cliff. Ilan is now weirdly obsessed with the guy (taking over from Betty) to the detriment of his own dishes (if you're going to mock Marcel by making a foam, then actually make a foam!) and Cliff hasn't had a real good week in quite a while.
3. Marcel has been known to put himself out there all the time, and I think he's best one at presentation.
I just don't think Marcel has the skills to be in the final two yet, maybe in a few years.
