I AM A CRACKHEAD. Also, JC! New tune!!!

God help us all, when I first found fandom and discovered Mr. Chasez, I felt like I'd found a kindred spirit. Spazz, indeed.

joeysdramaqueen is heading into town and we thought we'd try to get together for lunch, so we traded a few email messages back and forth this morning and I began to wonder, why is this woman still at home if she's supposed to be Ohio by now? Well, bwahahahahaha! I'm an idiot, because she's rolling into town next week. As I emailed so eloquently this morning, it's a wonder I'm allowed to walk around without a helmet and kneepads. ;-P

In other news, I was surprised to see that a new JC tune has leaked. Did it really leak? Did we - as in everyone but me - know this was about to happen? Anyway, I eagerly downloaded the tune last night. I must admit that my eyebrows may have quirked upwards an inch or so. My first thought was, wow, that's certainly commercial. Not necessarily in a bad way, just very different from the last go 'round. It kind of reminds me of a couple of other songs that I can't think of right now, but the upshot and bottom line (hahaha) is that this is definitely a radio-friendly song. It might not be what we expected, or what some of us wanted, but it's definitely what he needs.

Whatever anyone thinks of the song, you can't deny that he sounds wonderful. His voice has matured, and as someone mentioned, when he dips down in those lower registers, hole-lee hannah! That's one thing I really liked about the song, the way the melody would go down when you expected it to go up and OH MY GOD, I've forgotten every bit of musical terminology I've ever known. My job is making me stupid. Anyway.

I wanted Schizophrenic to sell like a motherfuck3r, but it didn't. I wanted everyone in the world to fall as head over heels in love with JC as I was, but they didn't. The truth of it is that he needs a song like this. If it gets him noticed and if it gets him airplay, I'm all for it. I hope it takes off like a friggin' intercontinental ballistic missile - handy link supplied because I'm just that kind of a geek.

Okay, the Russians are seriously kinky. Here are a few of their missle names, taken from the wiki link.

Specific types of Soviet/Russian ICBMs include:

SS-17 SPANKER
SS-18 SATAN / R-36M2 / Voivode
SS-19 STILLETO
SS-24 SCALPEL / RT-23
SS-25 SICKLE / Topol

Though the Stilleto, Scalpel and Sickle sound intriguing, I want JC to go off like a friggin' SPANKER, man. Apt, given his fanon persona, no?

In other news, my sinuses seem to have purchased a number of finely-wrought miniature silver spikes and are hell-bent on hammering them into and through my nasal cavities. Repeat after me: OW.

I'll remember to bring the crack, helmet and knee pads with me next week.

I want one of those jazzy helmets like the one JC's wearing in your icon. Crack I've got plenty of. ;-)

lol... I was thinking more along the lines of the helmet and pads that Mike Myers used to wear on SNL when he was playing Phillip. LOL

Fox, you make me laugh and it hurts to laugh!!! LOL

Awww, poor broken Vicki! Sorry to make you hurt, woman! Where will you be, hospital-wise? Chris was a big spazz and couldn't remember. ;-)

LMAO

I was in St Anns. I am home now though. Came home late last night. Yes, Chris can be a litte crazy when it comes to me and being hurt. That is why I love her.

You're absolutely right in everything you say about JC.

As usual.

I hope these new songs do it for him, I really, really do. He can do his own thing again after this one breaks all known sales records. :-)

That's the part I don't get. I can understand that some people don't like the song or are disappointed in it. I just don't understand how anyone can compare his voice to Nick Carter et al.

Now I'm really curious to hear this song. Do you have a link to download it?

JC man...he could sing the phone book and I would listen, but his VOICE sounds so amazing and there is some rawness to the voice and the song...there are actual guitars! It's really terrific if you ask me.

p.s. I totally did that mix-up the dates thing with [livejournal.com profile] fuskeez and [livejournal.com profile] callsigns when I went to California! They were like 'we can pick you up at the hotel, see you tonight!' And I was like 'no!! it's next week' So, not just you!
