(no subject)

The fic commentary meme is too intriguing for me to let it pass by. I think I'll tackle either Beauty. Queen. or Yella, maybe both! Hmmm.

JC's cracked the Billboard Hot 100!

The Hot 100's top debut is Britney Spears' "Toxic," which arrives at No. 53. Other notable entries include Chingy's "One Call Away" featuring J. Weav (No. 54), Young Gunz's "No Better Love" featuring Rell (No. 76) and JC Chasez's "Some Girls (Dance With Women)" featuring Dirt McGirt (No. 98).

Notable! Go, baby, go.

In other news, I think I had less to say than previously believed. Wait!

Oh God. In Googling to find the Lance-defends-Paris thing, I found this.

Paris Pens Autobiography
Last Update: 1/22/2004 12:51:16 PM

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is cashing in on her newfound status as a reality TV star by writing her biography.

Hilton, who starred with best pal Nicole Richie in surprise hit The Simple Life, is currently penning Tongue-In-Chic: Paris Hilton's Confessions Of An Heiress with co-writer Merle Ginsberg.

The leggy blonde simply states, "It is about my life."

The book, which will feature photographs taken by celebrity snapper Jeff Vespa, is currently being shopped by 22-year-old Hilton's literary agent Dan Strone or the Trident Media Group.

Please, stop the madness.

Love your notable entry entry.

But I'm sick! My throat hurts! And I'm sick!

Waaaaaaah, for the being sick! I'd have replied sooner, but I've been in the kitchen with the hubs, watching him make spaghetti and meatballs. I love a man who cooks. ;-)

Lance-defends-Paris thing

???

[identity profile] foxmonkey.livejournal.com 2004-01-22 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
???

After reading the blurb about her autobiography, I felt too weary to go on. ;-)

Here 'tis, from the NY Post:

PARIS' PORN PARTNER LOSES DRINK

January 22, 2004 -- PARIS Hilton love triangle alert! Even though the sexy "Simple Life" star told friends she had to promise her parents she'd stay out of the limelight to be allowed to go to the Sundance Film Festival, it's no secret she's dating former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter these days. However, it was ex-*NSYNCer Lance Bass who defended her honor against Paris' villainous porn tape co-star Rick Solomon at a Sundance party the other night. We're told that after Hilton and Solomon got into an argument at an Xbox Live party at the Motorola Lounge, Paris stomped across the room and starting dancing with Bass. The next thing anyone knew, Bass walked over to Solomon, deliberately bumped him and spilled his drink. We're told the two men had words before Hilton's posse left. This is laying low?

Ah, bless him. What a sweetheart. Although I'm kind of smiling here at my mental image of Lance's manly macho display of drink spilling. But it's the thought that counts.

Man, Paris is one of those girls who probably *loves* pitting one guy against another and watching them go at it.

Lance. Quite the chivalrous young man, isn't he? Southern gentleman to his toes, that one.

if you only do one - please make it Yella. I love that story with a fiery passion, and would love a little background

Wow, thank you! That's two votes for Yella.

And...after writing the above, I stopped to read it again for the first time in quite a while.

Yes, definitely Yella. :-)

What's the fic commentary meme?

[identity profile] foxmonkey.livejournal.com 2004-01-22 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It's kind of like the audio track on a DVD where people involved in the production talk about their experiences in the movie, or the director talks about what was going on in his head, or behind the scenes...

Joie did one for Love in the Trenches. Take it away, Joie!

If I could have comments on just one of your stories...

It'd be nothing better. I love Chris at 40 and Lance managing him, and I'd love to hear how you came up with it.

Weh? That one's not mine, and I don't think I've read it. Hmmm, now I'm curious!

Sorry, horribly embarrassing

You know how when you click 'back' in LJ, sometimes the page scrolls? So, I was on someone else's page (and no, I can't remember who), clicked back to my friends page, and then thought, 'hey, you really want that commentary; go ask for it' and just clicked "leave a comment" on the entry in front of me without looking.

Very sorry. But I tell myself, I look good in red. (g)

Ah, no harm done, and don't be embarrassed. :-)

Wow! What great news about JC!

Oh no! It should be outlawed to write autobiographies before the age of 70 or something.
