It's good to be a fangrrrrrl. :-)
I might be getting Schizophrenic on Friday.
I went to my favorite place today with two of my lunch buds. We cruised the stacks, and I went up to pay for the Rolling Stone with JC's review (JC!). I asked the clerk if they're getting JC's album in on Tuesday. He said that if they weren't, he could order it for me. I was reluctant because, no! First day! So he said, we get new releases on Fridays sometimes. He said that they don't advertise that fact, for obvious reasons, but regular customers know.
My ears perked up. My heart sped up. I began to sweat.
This is the kind of place with tie-dyed t-shirts displayed on the wall. They burn incense and play groovy indie music on the house system.
I've been in the store a few times, and I love this guy. He's knowledgeable about all types of music and he's never condescending - no matter what I ask for! - which is incredibly refreshing.
He asked me to spell JC's last name. I did. While he was looking it up, I said, "He's one of the refugees from NSync." He laughed and immediately mentioned the Pro Bowl and said, "Justin's friend." And then he found JC's name on the list.
They're getting it in!
I immediately began to shake, I mean *complete* fan girl mode. My friends were laughing - with me, not at me. ;-) He said that he can give me a call when the shipment comes in on Friday. Quicker than you can say "JC likes pink," I started to give him my work number, and can you believe it, I've worked there for YEARS, but I was so excited that I blanked out on the phone number! I had to ask my friends to tell him because I honestly couldn't think!
I can't believe it. I might have it on Friday. Hours later I'm still shaking. :-)

When I worked (briefly, thank God) at Best Buy part time, it was the same for music.
But I'm excited for you! I'm just surprised they're going to sell it early.
Re:
I was too, *very* surprised. But yay! And now I'm wondering whether I should delete this post...
I'm surprised they sell early. I know book stores can get HUGE fines for selling a book even a single day before the official release date.
I figured as much for record stores, too, which is why I'm not telling anyone where I'm getting it.
Since I *really* want to squee with everyone else, I don't plan to open the CD until Tuesday. I might even tell him to just hold on to it for me and I'll pick it up next week. I'm all conflicted, and now I'm wondering if I should have kept my yap shut all together!!!

Lord, you could do a booming business in overnighting copies to desperate fans! *laughs* Kidding. Mostly.
Re:
I know. ;-) Man, I was a complete mess on the ride back to work. I kept squealing and making all kinds of yippy noises. My friends were incredibly amused.
